Could sound like your battery needs a charge. After charging it, refit and see if bike will start. If the problem reoccurs, either the battery i dead, or something is draining the power.
  2. I would recomend that you get the plugs sorted out. If the YPVS (Yamaha Power Valve System) aint working, the bike will certainly run sluggis. When you turn the ignitionkey to ON, you should hear the valve operat/rotating back and forth. Should last 1-3 sek. I belive, the black tube is to be connected to the carburator, as is feeds the 2-stroke oil, to the petrol! The kick´s internal mecanism is probably worn, and you have to take it apart, to see what parts is worn. Enjoy the work :-) PS. Sorry for any incorrect spelling, i´m Danish.

To gaine acces to the crankcase, you have to dismount the engine, and split it in half!
  4. Could sound like the fueltap, dossent have enough vacum to stay open. I would check the vacumhose running from the engine to the tap, for cracs and bends. If its fine, there may be a problem whit the tap itself.
  5. My guess (and haynes) would be, to take apart the waterpump, and replace the sealing between waterpump and engine.
