Best place to get Yamaha parts
Flitwick Motorcycles are excellent for mail order. They charge a nominal cost for postage. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

TOP END REBUILD
the people that do the rebore will normally supply you with a piston kit, but get a small end bearing as well. I waited while mine was done - it took about 2 hours for 2 cylinders. you should remove the power valve to stop it getting full of swarf and debris. and drain the coolant at the pump before you start taking it all apart. you can get the bits from you Yam dealer but they'll be more expensive than your reborer. Just make sure you get a decent brand of piston - ART or Mitaka. I used a place in Waterloo or Crosby, Liverpool - just can't remember who it was!

is it possible you've disturbed the float height when changing the emulsion tubes? this could cause fuelling issues. is the TPS properly connected? could it be old fuel? This website is pretty good for TRX info: http://trx850.motomaniac.net/forum/index.php

almost no clearance is not good but when you get zero clearance you will have problems starting. DJ kit has no emulsion tubes in it. It contains needles and main jets. you can buy emulsion tubes from Kedo in Germany for about £10 each. Sounds like you may have created a problem while changing the emulsion tubes if it's not fuelling correctly at higher revs. Rich running can cause bore washing, where the fuel washes the oil away and leads to lubrication failure.

Help.. wiring issue.
when you say the front and rear lights blink, do you mean they dim and brighten a bit, or really flash? are you testing this at idle? have you tried revving the engine? it's possible that with the lights and indicators on there is not enough current available from the battery to drive everything, so it needs a little help from the alternator.

omg i got my yzf
it's a 125. it probably won't do a lot more than 75. the red zone is there for a reason.................don't run the motor there continuously.

ThunderCat has much better suspension than the Fazer. As said, depends what you want in a bike..............what do you want?
-
TZR250 Dash light ?
2MA - jap import? Think many jap home market bikes have a speed warning light fitted.
-
Thundercat Steering Damper
a bike will only benefit from a steering damper if it's very quick steering heading towards slapping its head abut. as said a ThunderCat does not need a damper. if your tyre is shagged then fit a new one. you'll think you got a new bike.

TZR 250 spark plug/ignition coil problem
too much oil does not mean the bike is running rich. it will in fact be running lean as there will be too little fuel and too much oil. what does the plug look like when it is defunct? colour? wet? dry? cracked?

dt 125 1985 lc
you have an intake air leak, i reckon. Could be a split in the carb rubber or the clamp not tightened properly.
-
yzf750 still flat spot
sounds very much like Exup needs stripping, cleaning, greasing and setting up
-
my diaphram wont stay in place
are you saying that the diaphragm is detached from the silde? you need a new slide - it comes with the diaphragm attached. are you saying the diphragm won't stay in it's groove on the top of the carb? a smear of grease in the groove will hold it in place til you can get the cap on.

Thundercat tyre
Dunlop recommend a 170 on the back of the Cat. I didn't like it on mine, but some do.

Worst Bikes On The Market
Ducati 999 is off the pace? What do you ride? A Yamaha M1? Multistrada is a joke? One of the best all round bikes on the market. Triumph TT600......best handling 600 when it was released. what the fuck are you on man?

Service Intervals XT125X ??
Ask for the handbook. It will all be in there.

xtz 750 runs fine for 5 minutes ?
what he said^^^^^^^^^^^ did you know the bike has 2 fuel taps? the one on the right often gets blocked with crud as most folk only use the one on the left. how do you know the pump is operating as it should? does the bike run ok on prime? could be a split fuel tap diaphragm. have you checked that the fuel and vacuum hoses are not kinked or trapped? have you tried to run it with the fuel cap open? could be a split carb diaphragm.

Which one??? Which one???? Ecxhaust!??!?!?

Yamaha Dealerships Service Dept
Well................for example...................Yamaha dealers can buy oil, plugs, filters, gaskets, shims etc from any wholesaler - they don't have to use OEM parts, particularly if you ask them not to. There's also www.oemmotorparts.com, where dealers can buy OE parts at doscounted prices.
