it should be easy to find , tx and xs 34's should be the same up to 76 unless its early drum brake. , 77 up xs650's were 35mm.

1977 xs650 carbs
you will absolutley love roundslides, easy to tune great throttle response. http://www.650central.com/ linked mine together with a peice of threadrod, youll have two choke levers but only one is needed to tickle it.

tx 500
thinkin they were 34mm's back then im guessing that most likely there the same as xs 650 /tx 650 of same yr, look up both part #'s see if they match, if so you can find them, if not it might be a little tougher. Are the pitted or bent? check part #'s here, they may even have em. http://www.powersportspro.com/pages/parts/...nd/default.aspx

87 FZR1000 TOO old for Yamaha Dealer
second time ive seen a post like this, Id have to say its just poor handleing of relating the cost of the repair, to the value of the bike. guess they think us guys that ride old bike will walk away leaving the bike and the repair bill, screw em! theres enough info on line to keep me rebuilding my own. Id guess check around i know theres some motorheads down there that could help you. whatsit doing?

Petrol tank repair
this is the old, ive heard this but never tried it, two methods, cram a bike innertube into tank, arrange so's stem is out filler hole, inflate . or fill with water close cap and freeze it, results will be youll either pop dent or split seams.

1977 xs650 carbs
runningvm 34's roundslides on two xs's, I buy a lot from mikes , never a problem, but on carbs try 650 central, especially if your running a modded motor , 650 central will send them tuned to order for your mods, you wont have to tweek them . no experience with mikes dleorotto's so I cant say how they compare. hope this helps. http://www.650central.com/

How can I put dual disc brake in XS400 12E??
wish you had a pic, look on your cast front wheel, is there a plastic cover over bolt holes & is there a mount on lower fork leg ? guessing if its like xs 650's you can your goin to have to figure out what caliper goes on that side & odds are its a common caliper off another style yammey, as for rotor just get another rotor off a bike like yours, then youll need to go one of two ways, either two long hoses and a dual banjo bolt , or a y junction off another yammy that mounts on the neck, id guess an XJ 11 has duals, though im not really familier with differances in your bikes and US version. Duals are more common on euro models than US models. Dont forget you should upgrade master cyl or modify yours.

400 xs us custom
this is an 81 but should be same , not much changed in the special models over here from beginning production run till early 80's .
