Thanks. You have good taste in bikes lol. I was going to be getting an 08 at the start of this month, but I like mine too much. No point spending loads of wedge on a bike when I have one I am more than happy with. Im not planning on getting another one in the forseeable future.

His Ebay ID is srm_direct. They are made from aircraft grade Stainless Steel, are very well made. They mount using the Radiators own fixings, and are easy to fit. The picture above does not really do it justice, but they look bloody fanTAZtic. Is there anywhere else on the site I can let people know about this? He does R1 covers as well.

Happiness IS the corner. Not busy roundabouts etc. Donington has several corners, and lots of local roads have nice corneres, that I can go round happily, safely and legally.

Sorry, but you are a fool. I doubt very much you will get the applause you are after from here. Take it to the track.

There is no more storage than there was before, which is pitiful really. I have no idea why a bigger compartment wasnt incorporated.

Hi. I have a 2000 (5EB) R6 in Blue. I bought a V PIece off EBay for it a couple of weeks ago. I went on my 1st Track Day at Donington yesterday, so I had waited til today to fit in "just in case". As it turns out, it doesnt fit. It is out in the Garage at th emo, but here is the EBay item number 280197153018. Compared to the oblack one that is already in situ, this is much more rounded at the pointy end, and the layout of the internal plastics is different, as are the fixing points. It SHOULD look like this (Ebay Item Number 280203355527). Is anyone on here astute enough to be able to tell from the picture what th eBlue one is actually from? Many thanks in advance for your time and trouble. Neil

This is my baby. No pictures of it with the rear end illuminated though. I might go and take some now actually if my Camera is good enough (which I doubt). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v736/Taz.../Picture671.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v736/Taz.../Picture684.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v736/Taz.../Picture675.jpg

I too wait for a temperature indication. I never ride with it reading "LO". It doesnt take too long to show 40 really, and during the wait I will put my helmet and gloves on etc. I start it up on full choke without using the throttle, then as soon as she starts I take the choke to mid point. As soon as there is a reading, I turn it off and it settles into a nice idle. I dont take her above 5000 RPM until the temp reads into the high 60s, then progressively open up as the temp climbs. Trying to use too much power in anything below 4th results in losing traction at the rear. Can be fun, but on a steep camber, its instant sideways action lol!

I cant see a Newbie room, so I will post here to introduce myself. I am Neil, and I am from Nottingham. I have always had a passion for bikes, but my circumstances have not always allowed me to have one. I am now the very proud owner of a 2000 R6 in Blue. 11,000 miles, bought on Sept 18th. I love it. Its pretty much standard apart from a high lift, oval dual exit Blue Flame exhaust, LED rear lite cluster incorporating rear indicators, little front indicators which I hate and will replace, and a nice under tray. I have "chavved" it up a bit with a small blue lite underneath which illuminates the hugger and the under tray, and I am told it looks really smart. If I hear it looks daft though, it will be removed. The bike has been dropped, so is not perfect, but that was reflected in the price I paid. From a couple of steps away it looks great though. She is highly polished and very clean indeed. Anyway, I have rambled on enough for my first post so I will say no more apart from this site looks really good. Looking forward to a long stay. Neil
