Just joined. I have a 2004 R1 and currently working in India. Mumbai to be precise. I note my bike runs extremely hot and I mean hot, especially in stop, start traffic. As long as the fan comes in as required should not be an issue. Tried a short trip in shorts and ended with a red heat rash on my left leg.
