Vance and Hines exhaust help
Yes I did contact them as well and they offered the 31501 for Stg400 delivered, which is still about stg75 more than getting from the US so I opted to for the US, my warranty expires in October but I am still planning to install on reciept as I have had enough riding with other bikers and I can't hear my bike, plus I noted that cars tend to give my mates much more attention since they have very loud pipes.....are you going to re-jet? what are you plans..... Joe

High Heels and bikes
I just had to reply, Yanks having a go at brits and vice versa, both complaining about their slang and roads....ok here goes, I have learnt English at school since the age of 5 ( very very long time ago) and yet I have to decipher both your slang.....now when it comes to roads, I invite you all for a ride on our tiny island of Malta.......not much worries about the weather but corners, junctions, sharp turns, crazy car drivers ( driving in the shade) and as many potholes as you can possibly count, so pls. pls. don't complain about your roads........now for pillon with high heels, most local riders which are in their hundreds here meet at the same place Sunday morning, the HD riders dressed to kill and don't mingle, the sport bike riders dressed like they just came from a grand prix and the cruisers ( non HD) tee shirt and shorts since it's too bloody hot...... well for the ladies, I invite the gents for a look, my god..............( sorry ladies) so here goes my two pennies worth off contribution

PS local dealer is Highway hawk agent so I can guess why the mis-information....... Mag ltd told me that the 31505 is the actual model but due to European emmissions bla bla.. they recommend the 31501.......

Vance and Hines exhaust help
Hi Goff, I got some feedback from Mag Ltd they are the sole importers for V&H into Europe, and they recommended the 31501 hence I bit the bullet, waiting for delivery but has to come from the US which is still about Stg75 cheaper than the UK although the post is nearly as much as the exhaust. Now I need an HC probably will go for the Kuryakyn.... will keep you posted once the pipes arrive cheers Joe

Vance and Hines exhaust help
Now I am in a real mess, V&H representatives are telling me I need the 31505 for my model and Cruzer Ecosse are telling me that they and Mag Ltd the European V&H importers recommend the 31501 for Europe, when I wrote back to V&H they said sorry can't help is there any one out there that has fitted either the 31505 or 31501 to the 2007 European Model whatever that might be, the cherry on the cake is my Yamaha dealer insisting that our model is different from the US models........at this rate I am going to gut my stock pipes..... cheers Joe

Vance and Hines exhaust help
Goff, it's definately not Californian I am sure local dealer would not import from the States, there is only one Yamaha dealer here and when i asked he told me it's a European model and is different than the V-star whatever the state. Are there any online sites that can trace model from frame number ? P.S. my bike is six months old with 1500K on the clock hence I definately still have the front header pipe hehehe -so far

Hello from newbie
Thanks I trained on an Yamaha XJR 400 dry weight is 175Kg Vs the 239Kg of the Dragstar, albeit the 400 was not a light bike but will take your advise. I must admit I am feeling a bit worried riding the Dragstar for the first time as it will be from showroom straight into a lot of traffic.......anyway will see.
