I have had make my own as i couldn't find any made them out of a Baxie 105e boiler diaphram (but that probably means nothing to you being in the US)

Just the bearings if so i would replace them and just put a new boot on the wheel

Personally i would whip the heads of and re seat the valves by re-griding them in. also sounds like you have a piston ring problem could just need re honing

Completely agree with that The god dam diaphragm is a pain in the ass when its got a little hole in it

Except for the stock seat on the VX535 jesus thay get painful after a 100 miles or so

I dint think thay started to put on the alloy wheels until the 80s i thought all post 79 bikes had wire wheels

Sounds like you have a problem with your Generator You will need to check what voltage you are getting at the battery when the engine is running anything under 13v and it means you generator it not working

Hi all Can any of you peeps help out i have a 1980 - 81 XS250 YICS and i need a repair manual for it so i can start the rebuild. I is very similar to the other XS bikes but it has a completely different engine in it which is what i am struggling with Hope some one can help Thanks Andy
