Yeah whats up with the power commander? I can get a good deal on one but will it really make a difference. I mean Im not a track racer and far from it but I would like to know the pep is there if i do need it.

I have a 08 r6s and want to know what kind of oil to use when I take it out of storage. Since there are so many out there I want to be sure. Yeah I know but I dont want to go to the dealer.

I want to know what oil filter is used by my bike. I would just check the bike but its in storage for the winter. Its a 08 R6S. Its pretty much the same platform and body style as the 03-05 R6. I have looked through the manual and found only the type of oil but nothing on the type or part# of the filter. I want to try and find a bulk sale of filters but need to know the size/code. thanks

good luck with the bike. Im the same way I was that way with my car now Im doing the same with my bike. I have an 08 though. You can probably get a power commander, an exhaust and maybe velocity stacks. Im just going by what I've read here on the forums. The only thing I got on mine is a scorpion can and thats it. I say keep it and do it up with some more mods.

Yeah I checked it that same after noon. it was full.

I have a 08 R6S and its Raven in color. It does have little metallic flakes in it but very small. You wont even know unless you get really close and the sun is hitting it. The flakes seem to be just plain silver in color. I think its a nice color.

Well I gave in and put her in storage. I will check on her constantly and look for some goodies on line for next summer.

whats the tightening torque of the swingarm nut on 04 R6? Im trying to install a clutch slider.

I should toughen up right. Its my first bike and I live in ny, the winters are pretty crazy here. I just started riding a few months ago. I'll seeif i can brave the cold. I do love riding though, I ride everywhere.

I might just give in to the cold and store the bike now for the winter. How do I prepare i for hibernation?

Yeah Im gonna need one of these. I hit a couple of bumps in the asphalt doing 110 and it would be great to have a stabilizer and not have the bike wobble. What are some web sites that sell these?

I have a scorpion stubby on my 08 R6S (same body style as 03 04 05) I love it but then I saw these. I might have to trade up. hope this link works. bruce fab

The other day I was staying over a friends house in Conn. it was cold that night maybe 50 degrees out in the morning about 5:30am. I started my bike and waited for the temp to reach like 115 then I made off for work. after like half a block the oil light came on and I know the oil is full I had the 600 mile service last month and I checked it a week ago. what could be the reason? Cold weather or I didnt wait long enough? Im a new rider so sorry for the silly questions.

I got my 08 R6s last month and went to get the 600 mile service done. It seems to me that it was a high priced oil change. What does this service entail? Im pretty good with the care and service of my car, I do my oven repairs and service. Could I do the same with the bike?

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I just recently got a 2008 R6S and decided to find a forum that would help and educate me. This is my first time owning a motorcycle of any kind. I have never rode before only to take my road test. Any ideas as to how I should ride and what mods I can do to it. Thanks to all.
