yes when i was 17 they offered me free insurance on my DTX 125 but i took the 0% instead cos it was only TP i then rang up the company that was doing the free insurance for a qupte and they said they were doing deals with yamaha for this so they'd give me a discount so i insured mine fully comp really cheap
  2. i had a look at doing this to mine but really couldn't be arsed TBH 100MPH was fast enough for me and when i beat a ST focus off the lights i was happy enough
  3. you could disconnect the electrics and pin open the power valve just as a tempory measure to make sure its nothing mechanical and only electircal

i think this is a really good idea.. i know its a pain in the arse but its better than 3 points in my opinion i wouldn't mind having to pay a bigger fine if it ment no points... i think there should be a choice 150 quid fine or 60 quid and 3 points i know which i'd go for
  7. if your looking for plastics could just use a yam dealer but will cost you try ebay but if they second hand will not be as clean (typically.. maybe an exeption) i had trouble finding any different graphics for my DTX but found a supplier on ebay
  8. if its just for field wouldn't it be easier to buy a second hand jap bike ?? a DTR or YZ should be fine and loads of places do spares etc

hi i've got a 2006 FZ6 not has it long only a couple of weeks. the battery went flat and i've been having to bump start it, i charged the battery and it started, went for a 60ish mile run, pulled up for a quick cuppa and then wouldn't start again. i'm guessing it may be the alternator or something affecting it being charged when running, also at low revs - 3-4RPM, it is missing slightly when slowing down, this is really annoying as you only really slow down in these sort of rev's when in traffic, any ideas... its booked in for a check at the shop i bought it from just seeing if anyone knows what this could be so i could give them a heads up also the engine managment light flashed on the off but didn't effect how it ran and wasn't even on a second cheers guys

if it did come down to classes A and B wouldn't it still count as proffesional drivers for example couriers and taxi drivers??
  12. i had a '57 plate DTX before the FZ6 mine was clocked at 98 using a sat nav (speedo only does 85) and this was with a passenger and that was only with DEP exaust, move the YPVS round so its more top end power, and moved up from a 16 to 17 tooth front sprocket, it would still wheelie in first second and third and i raced a WRX impretza and it wasn't gaining till i reached 65, i also tried a NOS kit my dads mate borrowed me that would wheelie in fifth but it over heated oops i used DTR.net or something like that and it mentioned loads of stuff like carb restrictors and a white tube behind the speedo but mine had non of this hope this helps i know the last models 2007 aren't has heavily restricted as the slightly older ones

this is only if you drive proffesionly if you own your own 35 tonne wagon and use it for personal purposes it doesn't affect you
