Is anyone getting some kind of CLUTCH rattle? sounding like its chattering " chata chata chata" is this normal when in neutral and clutch released?. distributor mechanic says its normal with this bike, but it just sounds a little loud to me for it to be normal.

Its actually quite funny this post, because im sure the designers are Harley were looking at installing a "Auto Mechanic and Oil Drip tray" to all their new bikes, and the goverment was also going to create special "Break Down" lanes to accomodate all the broken Harleys....... Enjoy your scrap "METAL" ill keep my working piece of plastic any day........

I suppose till you ride it you dont hear it, i only notice the clutch when its idling out of gear with the clutch out.. ie: at traffic lights etc. but its definatly noticable.. ill tell them at the first service. Its almost like a rattle.

Got mnie 4 days ago, i too seem to have a whining sound as im riding, also when im idling out of gear i can hear a noise till i pull the clutch in is this normal? does it go away after the first service?... any info would help cheers. Nice bike to ride though!!

I have had my V-Star 1300 for 3 days and im not sure if the noise i hear is normal.... I have noise when the engine is idling and the clutch is out, but when i put the clutch in theres no noise is that normal? im getting a whining kinda noise when moving, again is that normal? and also lastly i get a knocking noise when i go over a pot hole or something similar, is that normal with this bike? Any info would be a help!
