    Thunderace engine swap

    thunderace1997 posted a topic in Yamaha Workshop
    I own a 97 YZF1000R Thunderace. Was wondering if anyone has swapped a newer R1 motor into the Thunderace frame. I wanted to put a newer R1 motor that has the six speed tranny and all black motor. Has anyone on the other side of the pond done this? Thanks ahead of time.
