i,ve heard about problems with the fuel switch sticking on other FZRs. its the worst possible design, sticking it on the fairing!! try shorting out the wires from the switch and see if that helps. that will prove the switch is ok.

sounds like a regulator/ rectifier fault. possible its breaking down due to an overload when revving. it may be possible to check the voltage at the battery as you rev it up. if it starts to increase with the revs, a new regulator may be required. hope this helps.

right after the battery there is a main fuse which supplies the entire bike, if this is gone you'll get no juice. it then goes to your ignition switch. check for a feed at the ignition switch (it should be a red cable). it should read 12 volts. if it is, you've got a faulty switch. its possible to use crocodile clips to short out the wires at the back of the switch, but only if you've got a wiring diagram. let me know how you get on.

[it depends on the type of tyres you have. different manufacturers require different pressures. i've got a mag with the different pressure/ manufacturers for most bikes, let me know and I'll send the correct pressures. ps the front should be 120/70zr17 and the rear 180/55 zr17.

i put a new battery in my fzr last year, done 2000 miles and garaged it for winter. took battery out to charge it 3 weeks ago ( flat as i expected) and it wouldnt charge. there were no led's lit on my charger indicating no current passing through the cells. decided to leave it on charge overnite just in case, and after 8 hours the led's slowly started to light up. the battery eventually took a full charge after about 14 hours. suspect no conduction through the electrolyte due to the cold weather, ( water seperation) but once it gradually heats up it allows the current to flow freely. try it and see.

any one had problems with a speedo for an FZR 600 R or any older Yam? new cable bought and fitted, the speedo works ok if i turn the cable. my mate says it may be the connection block at the front wheel, apparently its just a flimsy steel bracket inside the connection, but can be repositioned. anyone had similiar problem or know how to fix, repair??
