Radar detector....or are you wanting an actual radar unit? Either way it depends on local and state laws, as for speeding...It all depends on weather the officer thinks your good enough to get away.

This is from the elightbars.org+topic forums.....caught my attention mainly because I have been cramming to know all I can about my Yamaha... Okay..this bike is supposed to be a Kawasaki CHP bike...but. The body style and engine to me says..81 to 83 model Yamaha Maxim. Any help on this...or is it one of those same bike different company name deals.
  5. Ever figure out what to do? I had a similar problem..when riding my 82 seca home from buying it the headlight fell out along the way. After picking up what I could find of it, I held it in place with a tube of J/B stick weld,"perfect for everything", then using filler I filled in the space all the way around the lamp..then smoothed it down starting with a rough grit sand paper working to smooth....then painted the entire housing. Downside is I cant get to the wiring with out ripping all my work apart...so Im looking around for a new head lamp assembly. But from my other post I was sent this. Courtesy of yamahead

Hate to bring up an old post but I have the same question on my 82 seca 750....has plenty of oil but would still like to stiffen them up...Ive read several post about adding air and even downloaded the craigs online manual but still for the life of me cant find the air valve for the forks. Ha....on my way into work tonight I got a wild hair....pulled off and finaly found those suckers...3 psi in eich fork and wow....much much better.
  7. Thanks....also...the front turn lamps I know are not original....am I right?
  8. Ive been working on this bike for a month now and feel confident in my work. I would like to know where I can find the original head lamp housing for this bike...seeing as I had to fabricate my own. The paint I tried to get as close to factory as possible...I believe I did it. However...someone please point out anything that could be different. 1982 Yamaha Seca 750
