You can buy lowering kits or have bikes lowered. Look in Motorcycle News which is out tomorrow.

Sounds like the seals on the master cylinder have sprug a leak. Should be simple to do.

I would move closer to the caravan trail. When you see them horses commin on over the hills, you'll know where to get the parts cheaper!!!

It could be a failed flasher unit but more likely to be corroded terminals on the switch or flasher. Assuming the battery is OK and the earths are clean, check the terminals first.

Hello and welcome to the fray! If you really want to see new Yamahas, look out for the Tokyo show where there is a new retro syle bike.
  7. Don't be too hard on Harley Davidson and their riders. There's a new player in town and I don't mean Victory. The old Indian name has been resurrected and will be producing bikes from their North Carolina plant shortly. Too late to put a deposit down for a 2008 model now but go check their site out. Sorry lost the url!!! Indian, the first American motorcycle.

Why is everyone shouting? Is it the smoke in here?

I think the problem is that the rear sprocket has the wrong number of teeth. It could also be that the chain is too long. In fact the whole rear wheel setup could be wrong. Why have you bought a bike with the wrong and probably MOT failing rear wheel? You have been done.

Not having any padding (neet and petite) on my rear, I have issues with seats both bike and car. So when someone says that they have a problem, I know that I would be seriously troubled. I think most manufactureers do not spend enough on making comfortable seats and especially those for pillions.

I think that you might have a burnt valve. If the magic oil fails to clear the problem, it's heads off time.

I suppose it could be called creative suicide. Now what did Darwin say?

Alot depends on the actual wording. Make, model and year so its 2004 and the reg does not matter.

I think it would be a shame to cut it about. It will grow in value in the future.

This sounds like a fuel supply problem. Demand is exceeding supply due to dirt in the system somewhere but probably not the carbs as you state that the engine dies thus all the carbs have the problem. You need to strip down and clean the fuel system and fit a fuel filter. Is the choke stuck open?

They say brake in accelerate out. This means that to avoid balence problems you should enter a bend after braking to be able to accelerate through and out of the bend so to keep from these problems. It an easier way to describe a way to stop high sides.

The first time I was completely airbourne without my aeroplane was in Northumberland. I was flat out in my MG, on one of the military roads going over the hillucks and whoosh took off and crashed back down away further. Good job I was the only one around. Lots of heather and water I seem to remember.

7.62 good stopping power. Well, I won't let you do my food shopping but it must be quite exciting being around you now!!! Good that you have the wheels, how about buying some gloves!!

Can't really help with the bleed nips but the fitting of anything other than standard pads to the rear would not be a good idea unless you have heavy usage. Suggest that you bleed the one closest to the brakeline first.

There are firms that sell lowering kits, they advertise in MCN. You could also have the seat lowered and if all else fails, try smaller wheels!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though, at five foot five you should be OK with a little stretch.
