  1. Just ordered one, paid 120£ with shipping from Spain. Should be here in next 4 days.
  2. https://europcustom.com/en/sissybar-yamaha-dragstar-xvs125-xvs250.html This is what I found
  3. Oh wow, guess I will think of something else then, LOL Thanks guys! Much appreciated
  4. For the passenger @Snakebite68 I just want to get it so I can set up another bag on top of my panniers, just to have more anchor points for it to be attached if that makes sense. It's 2000, not sure about version tho
  5. Good evening y'all! Got quick question about 125's back rest. Does one exist somewhere on the market? Thanks in advance Yours sincerely Newbie RaySin
  6. No pooling for me so far, only have to do 7-8 mile run to work at the moment, not enough time to get wet I'm 33 now, and I agree - it's nice to get in car sometimes... Although for me it's only as passenger, hate driving, love cars tho... Weird thing, I know... Just don't feel comfortable while driving, riding on other hand (so far from experience) even if it scares the living thing out of me, I want to ride more, with car I never had this butterfly effect before driving.
  7. Good evening y'all... It's been a while since my last post here, and, I feel guilty... (probably not) I have been through some changes in my life recently, getting redundant from my job, starting new job, but, what's most important - now I HAVE TO RIDE DAILY!!! Can't put it in words how it feels to wake up at 4AM to get ready for work, get geared up, push her out the gate, start her up and..... There is nothing... Just me and her in the dark, no traffic most of the times... It's our time where we can learn about each other so much... So far I have learned to adjust chain slack, changing few bits here and there... I feel like we are starting to grow as one. What surprises me most - I have stalled her once in last month (had random brain fart kicking in) but I was even more surprised how quickly I recollected myself to get going... Sorry again guys for not being around much lately, hopefully it will change in coming months... Thing I can say as a complete noob - ride them, the more you do, the better it gets and feels amazing - after your first few rides in darkness with rain, fog and other conditions it will just bring you both so much closer to each other... You will start feeling her more than hearing her (at least that's how it worked for me) Bikes are awesome! Best regards Noob RaySin
  8. Choke feels ok, can't see the reason why it would've snapped while been stood for 2 months either if that makes sense. She needs new tyres as well as the ones she has now have cracked up pretty badly, another thing I'm not sure why. Again, me being complete noob... As for now, I will leave it for garage to sort out as I need it running... It's my last 2 weeks on notice period, then getting redundant, so I kind of need it up and running Thank you guys for advice. It's always pleasure to visit these forums. All the love RaySin
  9. Good day to y'all. I have a problem. Recently my drag star has fallen ill and won't start up. Battery went flat, got it recharged, tried again... It seems to be turning over, however even with choke opened it seems to be suffocating and cuts off. Managed to get it started at some point and accelerated a bit to keep it revving a bit higher and alive but as soon as released the gas it stalled again. Any ideas what's going on? Bike hasn't moved in last two months, before all was fine. Is it just me needing new battery or problem is a lot deeper? Thanks in advance RaySin
  10. Welcome Baz! I always read those entries like "oh, started when I was 7 or 10" or whatever and I absolutely salute you guys as my life turned different turns and I was never able to get on bike until just recently. Problem with that is - the older you get the more scared you are LOL... Hope you enjoy being here. These guys have helped me a lot with things I didn't know where to go and ask.
  11. Good evening, fellow riders. Another question from newbie here has arrived : 1) how does one keep leather looking good? Asking just because it's been wet last week or so and my Oxford coat I got her seems to be letting some of the water through... As a result - it look like what appears to be some water marks. Have seen some products online but they are meant to be used on boots, at least the ones I have seen so far... With all the frost and snow and rain lately + 2 little ones to take care off... Ashamed to say but I haven't taken her out for a walk yet.... Gutted as anxiety kind of starts kicking in as well... Want to ride and learn, nonetheless weather conditions are a bit scary for newbie like myself. I am aware of icy conditions etc., just not sure what to expect... Anyhow... Will do it eventually... Best regards RaySin
  12. NEO, sir, that was a mouthful of a reply Very detailed answers, bless you mate. Really looking forward to spend money on maintenance Also... When it comes down to washing bike, any advice? I've seen things called bungs - yet no idea what size to get cause apparently there are few different ones. What about cleaning products? Any preferences of your own that you wouldn't hesitate to advise using? Best regards RaySin
  13. Good evening, everyone. As I sit and look through window, seeing all the frost and snow coming down the sky, I started questioning myself... 1) where the heck do I get proper owners manual for my new lady? (I have found some PDF files online, but looking for something more like Haynes manuals, Amazon failed miserably to provide me with one) 2) Regarding chain - how do you know when it's too dry and she needs a bit of lubrication before we have some fun? 3) Feeding - when I feed her, will she say when it's enough? (When tank is full, will the pump stop like it does with cars, or it's more like spoon feeding and I have to keep an eye on her so she doesn't choke on it?) 4) If...just if... And we're talking about loud pipes... What are pros and cons of having them? Again... I am complete newbie, just wishing best for my new lady (which is still to be named...) My head is just bursting with random questions. Any help or supportive shoulder will be as much appreciated as sarcasm Thanks in advance! RaySin
  14. Thanks NEO. Much appreciated. Have lots and lots of questions already in my head regarding maintenance of my two wheeled beauty etc. Will have a good read through forums as I'm sure someone like me has already asked those questions before me. Bike for me at this stage is more than just means of transportation - it's a whole new learning curve and hopefully it grows into serious passion in years to come.
