US custom yamaha xs250 rebuild.
Is it actually adjustable? I'm not sure if it will make much difference. My eyes ARE however drawn to your primary drive. That's a LOT of wear. You need a new drive chain (primary, chain, secondary)..!

Try lifting the back wheel, get someone to lean on the front end, put it in gear and rag the wheel round with your foot. That should put a bit of strain on it.

My Experience with IAM Advance Rider Training
I just work on the principle of: Attempting to make myself look menacing... Doing what I can to make them think "I don't want him to get off his bike and come for 'a chat'..!" Things like looking at them with my neck rather than just my eyes (points my helmet directly at them), squaring off my shoulders (make myself look bigger), stuff like that. I'd love to say I think it's all crap, that there's no way the average driver wouldn't be able to tell from whatever distance. But... It does strangely seem to work. I see drivers do a double take from time to time. You know when you're shopping and you feel like someone's looking at you, and after looking around for a while you catch some bored kid vacantly staring at you (because you've got purple hair or a biker jacket on or something)? Maybe it's like that? lol

The chain is still moving if your back wheel is... Take that chain off and spin it up!

I thought my output shaft bearings were going a couple of years ago. There was quite a bit of trepidation..! Turns out I needed a new chain... ... lol

Looking good, but I would have considered taking the swingarm off, how are the bearings?

Nah, wheel bearings are easy to do... IF you get them early! lol

high mileage motorcycles
Aaah, no, it was simply the stress I was putting on the chains through acceleration that was stretching them. The heavier chain solved that problem. I try to keep it in the speed limits, so I get my jollies from acceleration and cornering... lol

WTF did he call it? A 'Thunder four'??? I can't remember exactly offhand, but I've got in excess of 60k on mine, 3/4 of that I've put on it. I'm not terribly good with upkeep either, but mines still going strong (although it looks like I need a new radiator :( ). I would suggest looking into getting a heavier drive chain on it though. I went through 3 or 4 stretched chains in my first two years with it before getting an uprated chain-set. I've not had to replace my chain since (another 3 years...)

Sheds
Sheds aren't secure, and around where I live, you need secure! Particularly if you advertise what you have with loud pipes and an open driveway... lol

What do you mean "get out of a Thunderace?"? Speed? Acceleration? Reliability? Money?

Bike Night
Still nice... I was given a go on one of the 1100s back in the day, it's the only bike that's scared the crap out of me (amongst others, I currently own a first gen Hayabusa!). It was an absolute beast back then! And looked SO cool...
