1998 DT125R MPH Speedo wanted in good condition
You just need to find a 3rd party replacement dial and swap it out.

DT125LC MK1
Swingarm removal/fitting shouldn't be difficult. You just need good bearings... As for the rest, not a clue!

hello
Aaah... Probolt do some nice replacement stuff in Alu, SS & Ti.

Cheapest option I could find in 2mins of googling...

hello
Not cliquey... Just a bit quiet at the moment. ^^ You'd have to ask a dealer or someone about chains, I don't know the first thing about them (unless they're forklift lift chains!). What the hell are you doing to it with molegrips??? lol

hello
Did you get it off the Thunderace Facebook group? If so, I know roughly where it came from! lol. What year/colour pattern is it? I'll have a look at mine for the bobbin issue, but I doubt it will be a problem. It's not a light bike, but let's face it, it's only sat there on them... I'm kinda surprised it doesn't already have some on! Braded lines are definitely worth the money (Front, back & clutch). Goodridge or HEL appear to be the way to go. Waterproofs are your friend! Although, I get a lot less wet on my Ace than I do on my V-Strom with a full screen..! Some things to consider: 1/ If you can service your callipers yourself, that's a good first step. 2/ You shouldn't need it for a while with only 12k on the clock, but at some point you'll need the valve gaps done which is an expensive job if you can't do it yourself as the Ace has 5 bucket valves per cylinder. 3/ Check your fuel lines for deterioration. 4/ Check your chain and sprockets and if it's time, get an uprated heavier set. My ace was eating my chains till I uprated!!! 5/ Take your side panels off and check the dash surround for missing fairing bolts. Replace what's missing and your side panels will fit better and not rattle/touch the frame. (Seems to be a strange thing with Aces, people just seem to loose them all the time! lol 6/ Yambits (amongst others) is your friend for the Ace... 7/ If worn, replace your footpeg rubbers, it's amazing the difference it makes to the Ace with good footpeg rubbers (get from #6 above)!!! 8/ Become a full paid member here, it's a good laugh, and you get insurance discounts!!!

Bike kick starts but not with the electric start
Sounds to me like a weak starter then. But I have no doubt someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly to tell you the real reason! lol

Bike kick starts but not with the electric start
I assume it WILL actually turn the bike over? Sounds like you have either a weak starter or a weak battery...

Yamaha Motors Revolutionises Motorcycle Stability with Cutting-Edge Technology
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
-
RPM is jumping up to 4K when idling and when riding.
Are the actual revs jumping? Or just the gauge? And what EXACT bike is it?
-
Yamaha Motors Revolutionises Motorcycle Stability with Cutting-Edge Technology
From what the video was saying, it's only for low speeds (under 5mph), in which case, it could be a good idea... I know I'm too creaky to crawl along at 3mph in traffic anymore lol. Mind, the crap is a bit bulky yet! rofl

I don t know..
There's always the option of an older bike. I know I'm biased having the Thunderace, but you could do a lot worse than a Thundercat... 600cc, cheap, comfortable and easy to ride, but with still enough power to get you into a bit of trouble if you're not nice to it!
-
Damnit drewpy!!!
Rofl... You're too fast for me drewpy, I was just in the process of posing on that Indonesian spam post! I had the witty start (referencing the Monty Python spam song), a request for blocking and removal, and a vague insult in Indonesian for the poster!!! But you'd already taken it down before I could post! lol

Ferry , Newhaven to Dieppe
You could always take one of those strap thingies that go over your wheel, then they could strap to that...

Car MoT required
Never mind... Sorted! It appears that the local council does MOTs!

Car MoT required
May not be the correct place for this, but..: Does anyone know of a MOT only place around Wakefield/Leeds area for cars? We've had some trouble in the past with places trying to get work done that wasn't needed, so the idea is: If we get the MOT done at a place that does nothing but MOTs, they have no vested interest to make stuff up! Any ideas anyone?

Fresh on the site just after advice
The keys aren't a huge thing, but it WILL annoy you. You just have to decide how homicidal you get before you need to make them a set again! lol But for now, all you're looking for is to get everything working. Keep an eye on E-Bay for a 2nd hand set from a breakers, stuff turns up all the time, and a key set gives you little to no reliability worries...

SR125 1991 - Rough 😀
I suspect neither of them are set at factory settings...

SR125 1991 - Rough 😀
Yeah, that does look a little rough! And possibly like it's frame has been modified! lol. I like that you're apparently fixing some of it with a hammer though...

Fresh on the site just after advice
Welcome in... Couldn't comment on sprocket gearing, but, worth getting the part number from somewhere like Fowlers Parts | Genuine Motorcycle Parts & Spares, then running searches for 2nd hand options, or going to somewhere like Yambits : Yambits - Yamaha Parts for new... It WOULD have been all the same key (ignition, seat & fuel cap), the only way to get a matching set now though, is to replace all of them... It MAY be that you could get a locksmith to alter one, but it wouldn't be cheap!!!

YZF750R 6-speed Transmission
Here's a piece of thread necromancy... So, to add to this thread, I have a different question: 1/ Is the 750s 6 speed gearing strong enough to handle the 1000r? 2/ Bearing in mind that the above numbers supplied by Alex mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me, how does the 6 speed box compare to the 5 in the lower gears? Does it gain or lose acceleration (because let's face it, acceleration is what the Ace is all about!)?
