Hi folks! Newbie to the forum and relatively new biker also. I've got a 2006 YBR125 that's my pride and joy, but recently it's been causing me hell. So, to summarise; upon starting up, the bike idles comfortably (both with the choke, and then after a couple of minutes, without it). It idles low, but that's been messed with by me adjusting my idle to about 1500rpm. However, if you leave it running for 5 minutes or so, or you so much as feather-touch the throttle, the engine cuts out and the bike struggles to restart through electrics or kick-start. I've not got a video, but essentially it runs like a bag of nails and you can hear that the engine's just losing all power.
So, I've given it a new battery, new carbs, new tappets and cleaned everything out that I can get to. My dad's also worked on it - crux of it is, it's practically had a new bloody engine, but the problem is still persisting, even when trying to adjust the idle speeds. This happens when I ride it too - everytime I come to a stop or slow the bike down, it cuts out. Crazy frustrating.
Anyone got any suggestions on how else I can try and fix the problem before I give up and chuck it into a garage? I'm trying to do it myself to a) save money and b) feel like I can actually do something capably.
Thanks in advance and sorry if this is an age-old question. I don't mean to repost!
Nixx.
