Its a 2001 bike, it was an option on the list of bikes on Bennets ins.page. one quote came out at £360 and the other £1400 I've spoke to the bloke who has the bike and he's never heard of it either..... maybe a special edition?

Hi all, i'm new here. I've just passed my test and i'm all set to buy an R6, I'm a little confused when it comes to insurance quotes tho, There are 2 choices.... YZF R6 Extreme performance (2000 - on) and..... YZF R6 - 599cc (1998 - 2001) Can anybody tell me the difference between these bikes? The bike i've seen is a 2001 but the difference in the insurance between an "extreme performance" and the other model is massive! Thanks chris
