  1. Thanks for those. I had already asked brookes. They said they dont come apart... which they do. So they were a dead end. Falcon said send them and they will have a go but that doesnt instill much confidence in me that i will get them back in a use able condition if they cant fix them. The best one out the 3 seems TW who say they specialise in helping middle aged men having a stroke (2 stroke that is) get knackered rear shocks refurbished (well words to that effect) Thanks slice
  2. You are not looking in the right places then

You could drill out the knackered thread. Fill the hole with JB Weld. Let it go rock hard. Drill and tap to a left or right hand thread depending on which mirror you find. Or Get someone to aluminium weld the hole ready for drilling/tapping. Steve
  4. Thanks..... can you name any of them? Steve
  5. Apparently they are not rebuildable. Sealed unit. How true this is, not a clue. Steve Post a pic when on pc
  6. Hi, I'm steve and just signed up. Just got myself a dt250c 1976 USA bike to add to the collection. It's in good nick for 41. Looks in better shape than me and I'm only 5 years older. I'm in essex.... Saafend to be precise. Only lived here 3 months. Warwickshire boy before. Just need a bit of help in finding a couple of spares. Had many RD350's in my time but only one dt250. American to boot so I guess bits will be harder to come by. Need a a pair of rear shocks. The ones with the fake chunk of ribbed cylinder if possible to keep it original. If not I'll pop some 12" ones on and get the proper ones as and when. Thanks steve
