PyroVee: I realize this is an old thread, but wondering if you're still active. I want to undertake similar modifications to a GV250 I picked up as a project bike and would love to pick your brain a bit. Especially the seat and handlebars, and any help sourcing other parts (spoke wheels, whitewalls).
