Yep thats exactly it, there's time n place for going fast, and it's not doing it past schools, town's ect. I mean I not saying I sit behind the all the car's dayglo derek style (hey, remember him!!), I do overtake people cause again thats what having the power and nimbleness is all about. you just dont have to do it like a bloody idiot thats all, but yep!, we've all did crazy stuff "out there".

Sorry to hear about that Alex, thats bad!, yea I know when I first got the yzf last week I had a few scary moments. But when out today yea I did "open it up" so tp speak, not idiot style just a few blasts.

I started riding in the 1980, although my mum didn't want me getting a bike, but Iv'e been into them since I was about 5. And I still remember watching Bazza sheene and Roberts in the british gp in 78' (or was 79' :-k ), I was 15 then. So I guess her and my dad knew it was coming when I old enough, my dad's not here now he passed away about 15 yrs ago, but I think my mum just kinda tolarates it now. I think kinda knows now that I probably wont give them up now, and I'm 40. But like I said in a previous thread, I do know how hard roads n cars are, so I should know better than to go out in my jeans. But yea, you just can't beat the feeling of being out on the bike, well I dont think so.

There you see, I'm not the only one!, but as Unmutual said old habits do die hard I guess thats 80's coming out in me. But the ironic thing is, the jacket I wear has elbow/shoulder/back armour the lot, and yet I go out in my good quality jeans :roll:.

Yea you are kinda right Mozzy........I know Iv'e been going kinda nut's again on the yzf, but I think after reading this I will calm down. I know I took some pretty stupid chances last time I was out, and I do know just how hard cars and roads are when you fall off and get hit by them. I will go easy from now on, I'm not saying I'll ride like an angel but I will go easy.

Thats like me Mozzy.......I just got myself a little Nissan Micra 1.0 just for nipping about in when it's raining and for going to get stuff. Not I'm a fai weather biker, if I'm out and it's raining well tough shit!, but I dont really see the point of going out to get dliberatley wet when you have use of a car. Fekn great wee car, I also have (but trying sell/dont use) a Saab 9000 2.3 fpt auto, that was main for form of wheels before the bike. But Iv'e allways a decent bike (got it now I hope) and a little run around for a car, my last car (before the Saab) was a K reg BM 525 24v manual. Oh yea it flew for being a car, but the bike bug's been biting me since I sat my arse in it, I should never have sold my FJ1200. But then again, if I hadn't sold it I wouldn't have the yzf now, oh well the sacrifices you sometimes have to make :mrgreen:

Yea Iv'e got full regalia too, but I rarely ware my l/trousers, mainly (and this is plain fekn stupid!) because I can get the bottoms over my boots!. I dont like the boots on the outside, Iv'e got a bad habit of wearing jeans (just as well she doesn't mind ) and pulling them over the boots. I know I should wear the trousers, maybe I'll give them another go, christ Iv'e only wore them about 5 time's from new!, and Iv'e had about 4 yrs now.

I had my 650 Katana years ago, fekn great bike, my first real "big" bike, I was out with a mate one day and left it in a pub car park and some bastard stole :evil:. I'd only left a matter of minute's, it wasn't even insured :oops:, my god to think that'll be 20yrs ago next yr :shock:., I can remember it as if it was yesterday.

Yea these guy's went through hell to fight for us, my mum get really quite tearfull when she's watching it, I even get a lump in my throat watching her watching them, it's a bloody shame!. And to think these fuckin yung uns nowaday's that these guy's fought for break into their houses and beat them up, or beat them up on the streets for money for their fuckin drugs ect, it really makes my blood boil :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:. I know my mum never had that much (probably like your own mum's n dad's) but they seemed to happier than us, cause it's all they knew.
