  1. Hello ! I'm about to take ownership of my first Yamaha for 20 years - since passing my test on a 1988 TZR 125 (in Camel F1 colours for those of you that can remember that far back !)...in 1995. The 'new' Yamaha is a 2012 X Max 250. Bought for my 50 mile round trip commute to work. I've got an old VFR800 at the moment - but it has too much power, not enough storage and a heavy clutch for the filtering I need to do every day. I've had a Burgman 400 in the past which was a bit cumbersome and heavy - so I'm hoping the X Max should be a bit of a revelation ! Keep safe if you're riding at this time of year - I wimped out on the bike this morning - bike + slush does not work for me ! All the best. Tim
