Heads up for anyone in the same position as me wanting a starter motor, found a brand new Yamaha Aerox 100cc Start Motor on fleabay for £23 bangers striped it down and used the centre armature and bushes out of it and have been able to make a good working starter motor, better than £256, was,nt straight forward mind you a little modification here and there but quite easy archivable maybe hours work, time will tell as to how long it lasts

on a role here did a bit of googling last night and found a freebie on line downloadable owners book tells me all i want to know as far as maintenance goes, just need to sort starter motor out and we're good to go, found an old Sukida moped starter motor in my mates shed, striped it down and the insides identical to me yams apart from the end of the shaft is smaller so the search goes on, must be another yamaha or similar that uses the same internals just looking on fleabay at the moe trying to match

Hi all my name is Ian i,m 57 and i,m a car mechanic, i,ve been riding bikes since i was 16 but this is the first bike i,ve had in nearly 15 years hence mid life crisis, well the wife thinks so anyway, see this advertised as a non runner fairly cheap so took the plunge,it,s a 2007 Yamaha tdr 125, why a 125, did,nt want to jump in at the deep end,and thought i,ll tread carefully, love the TDM,s thought this was slightly similar, anyway look forward to bending your ears about me problems and queries, cheers Ian
