Hi guys, just a quick question. I'm fixing up a v-max 1200 and I'm swapping out the old indicators as they have gone rusty. The bike was born in 1997 and has got single wire indicators. Where can I buy these (non stock). I've been looking all over! And/or is there a way to fit double wire indicators to the bike? Any help much appreciated. Cheers for now, Louis

Hi guys, I've just been out for about a 20 minute ride with a new plug with the right electrode gap and by the way the black oily residue is just racing grease for the threads so nothing to worry about. Im just not totally sure what I should be adjusting according to this plug. Bye for now, Louis P.s the base ring is not black from the racing grease, am I right in thinking this is a rich idle?

Hi guys and gals, ok so I wanted to blank off my egr valve (had a blanking plate and all that ready). I then try to unscrew the 2 bolts that are holding the egr manifold onto the engine and they both are seized and snapped off at the bolt heads resulting in myself trying to drill them out where I was unsuccessful so I came up with a solution to make a flat metal plate with no holes in and gun gum it over the opening but didn't trust that so this is what I've done! (Picture below) I have basically just cleaned the surfaces of the metals, put loctite 638 NEW high strength metal retaining compound around a hex head overlap and glued it in there. I know for a fact it is sealing the unit but will it pop straight out when I start the bike up from compression? Will this effect compression in any way? (The bolt is about 2.5" long) will it melt inside the cylinder head? And will it hit anything in the Engine? Any help greatly appreciated! Happy riding, Louis

Hi all, I'm on the fine tuning section of fixing this Yamaha YBR 125 now and finally took her for a wee spin but the engine is making a horrible clunking sound. Any ideas on what this could be?

Cheers for all the replies! problem solved - the throttle cable adjuster nut near the carburetor was too loose, gave her a tighten and off we go! Unfortunately I've got another wee issue I'll post in yamabyys

Nah she's been totally blacked out mate

So got the bike up and running yesterday. Went to go start her up today and she was ticking over fine.. Rolled her out the garage door (rear first) and she started revving real high on her own so I thought right okay, must have a carb/air filter problem but then rollled her back in and she starts ticking over normally again? I did the same thing several times with different time gaps but every time as soon as the bike comes out of the shade, revvs like hell?! Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I'm swapping out the stock indicators on my YBR for my dads old XJR 1300's. Coming out of one of the indicators are two yellow wires - tell me if I'm wrong (are both ground)? And on the other, ones yellow and ones green. Should one not be ground and one positive? Cheers, louis

Hello there everybody, my headlight bulb has suddenly gone as well as my speedo bulb and back right indicator. My front right is a solid orange and dosnt flash. (My front left and back left work and tick fine although something near the battery is making a strange sound as you turn them on). Does anyone know what this could be? Bye for now, louis

Hi Kev! Yes it does move from side to side. I'm thinking it should be pulled more in one direction so that it is off the chain.. Is the metal coil in picture 3 anything to do with the center stand do you know? happy riding, Louis

How do I upload photos on here?? I managed to upload one earlier up to 540kb I think but now it's saying I can only upload 240kb? I've got the photos as small as I can get them..

I took it off as it was getting a bitty rusty, have been a total wingnut and forgot how it went on exactly... Firstly the left base of the stand, when riding - springs up and hits the underneath of the chain (shown in picture 2 below). When going over a bump in the road in bounces around underneath me. It feels as though it should have a washer or a very thin spacer on the axle as it wobbles from side to side a bit and this could be causing the base to hit the chain...? Also it doesn't feel like it snaps shut and if it did it would completely jam into the chain. May I need a new spring?) Could someone please mail me a picture of theirs so I can match it? This is what mine looks like.. (Shown in the comments below) Have I got the spring and pedal on the right way round? And is the small metal coil related to the center stand? Cheers in advance!
