I have recently had the privilege of adopting two old very tired Yam DT50MX bikes, they have been very battered offroad at an activity centre and neither run at all, I wouldn't usually bother with such a low cc venture but their retro appearance and sturdy build inspire me to offer them some loving care! I decided simply getting them running wasn't enough so I have brought a very cheap complete 1987 DT50MX last MOT'd in 2012 and I am using parts off the old bikes to get it up to scratch ready for another MOT. If you have any experience of these bikes to offer me advice I will gladly receive it or you need any spares I now have plenty. Thanks for having me in your club! Thanks Pete

Where should I look for cheap parts for a DT50MX?

Hi, I am sure someone on here will be able to help, I was given a couple of old DT50MX's and between the two bikes I am sure there is a whole bike apart from a few bits, I intend on rebuilding one bike and putting it on the road ready for my nephew to use once he has done his CBT. What is the best way to find out the exact year of the bike? What is the process of getting it registered on the road & and is it difficult? Thanks Pete
