I have the DATATOOL rev lights off my 1200 Bandit. I know that these are meant to be fitted to electronic tachos but DATATOOL say it might be possible on the thunderace to connect to the crank sensor:-below I want to fit a Revlight to my machine but it is not equipped with a tacho? » In certain cases this can still be done but you will need to pick up an engine rev pulse from another source (e.g. crank sensor). Don’t use the coil the signal will be corrupted by the collapsing field within the coil as it fires the spark plug. You will also have to accurately set 4000rpm. Good quality dwell meters and ignition timing strobes sometimes have a revs indicator. Be aware most of these are set for 4 cylinder car engines and you may have to apply a correction factor depending on the configuration of your machine. Does anyone know where this is on the tnunderace?

I got a thunderace and just changed the clutch plates and fitted new friction plates and stronger springs, i still have a problem with the clutch slipping, unless i am mistaken and its a power band kicking in. I have changed all the clutch lines to braided, changed the master cylinder and flushed the system and replaced with new fluid and bleed the system I also have a problem but its not there all the time it takes approx 3 months to develop, the clutch hydraulic piston on the left hand side pushes to far out and eventually it pushes the clutch plates completly out. You end up with no clutch, until you take the left hand housing off, undue the bleed nipple and push the piston back into the housing. Does anyone know where i can get a new piston and seal for the thunderace in the north-west of england?

I keep getting clutch slip on my Thunderace, I changed the friction plates and fitted stronger heavy duty springs. I done a complete oil change with filter and replaced the clutch hydraulic fluid, it seems to do it more twos up and when the oil is hot. Even drained the oil and changed oil brand
