Well i found "THE" fuse and i think the pillock that owned this bike before had put a bigger fuse in it. My old aerox had working lights brake lights you name it but mine had a 7.5 fuse it in this newer bike has a 15 would this cause any problems Thanks Again lol.

ok well i dont quite think im ready for that sort of mechanicals yet haha. will take it to my mechanics and get him to have a look at the pulleys thanks =o)

With my aerox i only need the choke to start it and after 15 seconds i turn it off and if i put it on again mine cuts out is the engine revving going up to 30 or does the engine sound slow ? might be your rollers if not check your carb make sure its clean you shouldnt have many problems with a 3 year old bike mines a 2001 and the performance is the same as when it left the showroom

The only part of restoring the bike I didn't want to do is the electrical side, but it seems I have no choice as I dont have any lights apart from a my headlight (all 3 functions - sidelights/dipped/Main beam). Now last night when i swapped over my rear brake light unit to replace a crap aftermarket one, the brakelight did work momentarily. Now i have to be honest i have no idea where the fuse box is on a aerox so i cant check. Any ideas? Thanks.

i dont no because if you twist the throttle really hard it does go you just have to yank the sh!t outta the throttle lol

cheers chris ill give it a go most people i ask about problems with mopeds either dont no or dont have the time of day because its not a "proper" yamaha i mean dont get me wrong im not a great fan of twist and goes but im just having a go at the restoring sort of thing and using this as a base bike i tried it before with a rd 125 ac and i cocked it right up lol but thanks for the advice

Well now that i fixed the brakes i decided to take the aerox out and see how she went only problem was when i open the throttle full sod all happend just the engine revs so i thought s#@t the gearbox has gone or something so i opened it even more and it slowly started moving forward now im thinking it might just be the throttle cable needs adjusting or replacing but do you think it would be worth replacing the hole throttle twist part or just the cable any ideas thanks !!

well finally managed to sort the brakes out i just kept bleeding them and nothin happend so i got a pressure washer and jetted the tube and loads of crap flew out then i evaporated all the water out of the pipe and connected it all up again and hey presto it works =oD getting right into this mechanical restoration thing its really good when you get going and what your doing actually works =o)

Well instead of waiting to do full bike test just went out and bought a 2001 aerox with T&T but no brakes now iv bled them and filled them but just dont seem to want to work any ideas guys ta

im going to be doing my bike test soon i cant wait to be on the road on a proper bike welcome to the forums any way and good luck!

only thing i could think of is maybe a yamaha specialist (not yamaha) or try ebay Cheers =o)

iv already decided to stay away from r6's gixer 6's n zx6 r's not because i dont like the bikes i adore them i think they are beautifal pieces of machinery but i just dont trust myself on 1 i have the self control of a shark in a swimming pool lol so im just lookin for something a bit sporty but not o.t.t under 500 preferably but given my height does make it hard i no =o(

i do like yzf's but i just think that maybe i might get carried away with the throttle lol
