Chain lube... What's your opinions guys?
This looks good. not seen before. I have looked at the scottoiler systems and while I'm sure they are great once set up for the time taken and price I think I may aswell just do it myself. However this is the kind of price and simplicity I would be happy with.

Motorcycle Raid
Why is the Ducati man holding a leg? - Is it because that how much servicing will cost him

Just to say hi
Hello and welcome! Always options for the wife and kids (and more if you're feeling adventurous)

Motorcycle Raid
Not sure if I am the one being dumb here? But what exactly was their plan? Can't really see but didn't look like the type of bike that would have a kickstarter and I assume the shop doesn't leave the key in... were they planning on just walking down the road with them...?

YAMAHA DT 50 Help Needed
Look the same to me but I could not be 100% certain! You can search for certain parts using the prefix of the VIN number to be sure

I could've been flattened !!
I swear.. a lot.. in the safety of my helmet. If I am really angry, I pull over.. If you do want to confront people, I would ensure you have a camera, and when you do say something make sure you are polite and reasonable - absolutely infuriates people - if it gets heated don't drive off in front of them.

XVS950A Key question
Dealer can probably program another key using the red key. tbh it really should have come with all three keys, this would be my first avenue of enquiry if I were you, if they don't have it they should get one free of charge imo While I'm sure the red key could possibly be used for driving, it says not to use it for driving only to re register the black keys. Just leave it somewhere safe. If you loose it and then need a new key you will need a whole new immobilizer system.

I could've been flattened !!
Or you attempt to kick off the wing mirror and it puts you off balance and you end up flat on your face right there.. or this happens.. which has already been posted - LINK

Just discovered how to polish aluminium
Not familiar with this bike, but it looks like the part number is 5KS221100100 , but this is the entire rear arm - which I assume includes the plastic covering. (£600) As I have seen a few times with new OEM parts it may be hard to get this piece on its own. Might be worth looking on ebay or somewhere similar for used parts. (Unless it is not an OEM part?)

Ride safe in 2016
A couple of stories/videos: Road Rage brake check Hit and run Sure many of you are used to this kind of behaviour on the road, but thought I would share for any newer riders like myself. It is pretty shocking how infuriated some people get with bikes. I have noticed on more than one occasion people becoming angry when I have filtered or taking it as some kind of act of 'aggression' on my part or an invitation to start a street race. (Once I realised the guy was trying to race me I pulled over and let him pass and continued on my way, only to overtake him again once he hit traffic.) Stay safe in 2016 and as well as all the normal hazards; watch out for crazy people!

Hey
Fair point! They would have to make sure it judged approach speed and essentially only told the rider if something seemed like it was approaching too fast to stop. It would be very annoying otherwise. I'm not sure about the dual displays, I guess I could only tell after using it

Cant get my seat to lock on my 87 radian
Hi Eggy,I've no experience with the Radian (or heard of it!), I assume it was released only in the USA. Nonetheless sure someone on here could help. But it would be best to head over to the new members section to say hi and introduce yourself a little bit.

Hi Mojo welcome to YOC.

Care, cleaning and accessorise
Out of curiosity, why use it sparingly? Can it end up causing damage is used too much? (I have no chrome so I have no idea)

Hi (new to site)
Hi Melo, Welcome to the YOC

Hello :)
Hi, Welcome to YOC. If I had the time, money and space to run a second bike I think I would like an FZ6 S2.

Just put deposit on 1100
I have just coated mine in ACF-50 ahead of salt etc. Expensive by volume but a little seems to go a long way. If you put it on make sure to coat evenly and wipe down otherwise it goes all gloopy. Which I am sure is fine but doesn't look great and is hard to get off. I will see how it stands up to weather and maybe pop a review up. (Though to be fair my bike is out of action for a few weeks at least!) Oh and welcome!

Merry Christmas to me
Well, I think overall I prefered lowside to highside. Looked at where the bike went down and where I landed and it was quite a distance! Feel like I've been kicked by a horse. Also spoke to a guy who came out to see if I was (his car was) alright and he seems to think that there was probably oil in the road as someone is always working on cars in the road where I lost traction and was doing something there on the 24th. Don't think this makes a difference though ? (in terms of insurance etc)

Photo sizing
Simple way would be to use something free like Irfranview (http://www.irfanview.com/) and literally just reduce the size (using Image >Resize or CTRL + R) sure there are a number of ways to reduce the amount of data but that is the easiest way I can think of. Alternatively use an image upload site like http://postimage.org/ (others may know of better ones) and just upload the full image and then post the link in this forum without restrictions on how big it is.
