    Just found out Yamaha in Japan do not use all the long numbers.Hope I can get this kettle of fish on the road.Its been interesting

    Also had a xv 750,I like yamaha.There have some nice design advantages over honda which is my normal fair.

    Hi Tommy,once had the xs 250 a long time ago,liked it.Do you know why my bikes engine number is so short?

    Just got this bike and have never seen a three digit engine number on a bike.Yamaha UK does not seem to know or anybody else I asked.Has anyone out there come across this before?Thanks
