  1. I'm doing a rebuild on a 78 xs500 and want to powdercoat the rims however the rear wheel has wheel studs with what looks like rubber bushings around them. I'm wondering if it's possible to remove these so they don't get damaged when in the oven.

Hello, I've recently started a rebuild project of a 1978 Yamaha xs500 and I'm powdercoating most of it. However the rear wheel has four wheel studs in it and they seem to have rubber in them. Does anyone know if they are capable of coming out in order to be powder coated?
