Google is your friend - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-log-book And an introduction in the new members section would be polite. You're welcome

Battery might have shrunk - did you get it wet? Oh and an introduction in the New Members section, that you would have seen at the top of the first page may get you a more informed answer. You might want to try cleaning up your earth wire connection.
  6. I use a bit of cardboard, with a rough sketch of the part on it, then poke the bolts through in the appropriate places. Stops 'em rolling about too.

You still haven't bothered to look at the information posted on this forum - second item down. And still no intro. Thick as well as ignorant! My day was really good yesterday thanks. And today will be even better.

Would you walk into a new pub and say that? An introduction in the appropriate might be polite. Otherwise I do have a piece of electrical cable that would fit a yz80. It is about a metre long with different coloured wires inside.

Yes I have rigged mine up to charge via a plug (fused) permenantly fitted to battery terminals, which sits in box under seat. Bonus is you can use it to run a satnav or charge yer phone when riding.

It has been 'changed' for a number of years. Gone are the days when it would take yer skin off yer hands if you didn't wear gloves. And of course we didn't!!!

  21. Hello I think you might be wise to get a manual for bike. You may find it doesn't have a dipstick, but a sight glass instead. Mine has the latter.

....and you can't stick anything into the oil filler of a XVS650 - or at least you can't on mine. There is a metal 'shield' just inside the filler cap.

Leather, by itself, is NOT waterproof. The tanning process strips out all the fats and oils that are present when it's on the animal, and makes it open to be damaged by water. You can add those fats and oils back and give the leather a bit of water resistance, but it will never be water proof. Leather also gets very heavy when wet, and if you're moving, with nothing warm underneath, it gets very cold. I have a gortex jacket and trousers which, haven't leaked yet, but then I try and avoid the worst of the weather when I can.
  24. A post in the new members area first to say hello might help.

The electrode looks fine to me - but is it the right length of plug? Seems to be a bit black around the lower part of the thread indicating there is more poking into the pot than needs be. I may be talkin bolleaux
