I know it's an old thread but yes you can fit the yz forks with out much hassle but will need the front wheel, yokes, and brake setup also will need to look into a universal speedo as brackets will need to be modified to hold the speedo and ignition also the yz wheel has no speedo drive but this could also be over come by finding a wrf front wheel with a speedo drive

Quick video of first start earlier http://s572.photobucket.com/user/r1cky_01/media/Mobile Uploads/20151116_100648_zps9qsflm9n.mp4.html But the first run on the road didn't go as planned low revs up to 1 / 2 throttle it's brilliant but after that it's a spluttery mess so now it's time to get the jetting / needle ect set right
  10. Have you checked the ignition barrel as they have a tendency to vibrate loose
  11. Zeeltronic is what I'm looking into at the moment have actually seen some good improvements on 125cc bikes over stock units but still unsure wether it's worth the money or not to have it fitted to a dtr

    Ideal thanks for your help
  14. They are supposed to yes but I would remove the expansion chamber and put a finger in the exhaust port to make sure the power valve is in the right position ie smooth to the port as some times they can be 180° out

It's got a hand made custom stainless exhaust plus the 170 kit plus a piper panel filter I've also got 2 5mm reed block spacers to play about with the intake tract ect and boysen dual stage reeds and custom alloy inlet, I've got jets from 210 to 270 so think I will start with a 250 and work from there and just keep playing till I get it right
  16. You can pin the power valve open till you get a new servo will loose a little bottom end power but will have full power up top end
  17. that hole is on all dtr engies to help you split the engine cases
  18. Chalkey46 replied to Chalkey46's post in a topic in Projects
I'm not to worried about top speed I'm looking for acceleration more than anything but a 95mph top speed is good it's current setup will do roughly 75-80 just want it ti get there quicker
  19. This hole ? If so it only there to aid in the splitting of the crank cases

Every thing in my spare engine has just been done with genuine yammy seals and gaskets and wosner conrod kit and uprated mains and all new bearings though out I love playing with these little bikes More than the big bikes not so many complications haha It was all about handling first then the head and barrel came up at a bargain price so couldn't resist Thought I better put a pic up of it from when I first bought it genuine 9k miles

Greabox is next on my list as a mate has a tzr belgarda that's been sat for about 8 years which I'm sorting out a deal on so I can have the longer last gears
  23. All you have to do is have the dt stem pressed in and use the dt head stock bearings and a collet to take up the slack on the top yoke I'm currently running 2001 yz 125 front forks and 2006 yz 250 swingarm and an adjustable 420mm oxon shock

This is on yz sprockets so still getting the setup right but is still lively as a 125 14t-50t with the 170 kit on it I'm hopeing it's going to be a lot more fun this kits also had the port timing corrected as the come slightly off straight from the manafacture Oh and this is a direct fit to the 125 cases
