DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
I have gotten it to the point were it will start up right away with the choke on and only with the choke on, but once it starts i have to turn it of or it will rev too high, if i keep reving it it will run but it wont idle, i have played with the idle screw and still nothing, i have tried the carb needle in 3 different spots and it still wont idle, the jets seem to be clean. Not quite sure what to do

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Yes the throttle is closing properly, it looks like i have a small crack right after the carb, could this be the problem?

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Can't even get it started now, it wont start unless the choke is on, and when the choke is on it just revs up to the point that i have to shut it off right away

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Well i i have a couple questions about the bogging now, So first off when i got the bike running it seemed to be back to the way it was before, starting and idling ok, then would bog pretty bad until it went to pretty high rpm then would rev like crazy. But now it will not start at all without the choke and it still has a hard time starting. When it finally warms up it will still only idle with the choke but what is weird is that without touching anything and letting it idle it will have a really slow idle, then it will randomly rev up a bit then slow down again and sometimes it will go extremely high in revs then back down to where it is barly running and this is without touching anything and with the choke on. Im thinking it might be something like a crank seal, or a jet has been clogged or something like that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be.. thanks for the help

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Well i know its been a while, but i finally got around to fixing the clutch lifter. I was actually getting around to selling the bike due to me thinking my work was doing nothing. But then when throwing it back together for the guy, when i pulled the clutch in it came back out to my amazement. Its still stiff, but it works and thats what i care about. But even more amazing is that when it was all back together and ready, i kick it over and first kick with no hesitation it comes back to life! After quite a while just sitting in the canadian cold . i fixed the lifter by slowly sanding away at, took a lot of time to do sand it down but i didn't think it did anything until i actually fully tried it I guess this is just an update, it still bogs has some problems but it runs so ill get around to it. Thank you all for the help before. Have a good onr

Thats what i was planning on doing... thats why i am going to try a smaller size first. Im going to try sanding a little more tonight though

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Im thinking about punching it out... i just dont do want to mark it up... i dont have the money to replace the crank case so that is out of the question right now. Im getting 2 punches made one bigger than the other so i can take it easy

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
I have been sanding it down for a while now and it fits in better but when i go to put it in its normal palace it tightens up again and it seems like im getting no where... and now i am worried the clutch lifter bore isn't the same shape anymore. Not sure what i can do if it is warped

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Ya definitely no screw on it... Do you think i should get i fine sand paper (around 600 grit) and try and get those markings out because they dont look too big... Or should i just go straight to machining a punch to hit them out... because its aluminum it shouldn't be too hard to get it out either way.

And get new rear sproket

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
I took the clutch cable off turned it 180 degrees, i got a pair of vise grips and with some effort she came right out.. I saw that there were some markings on the thicker part, so i do believe that this is the whole problem. Now comes the hard part of getting the dents out, i wish i had a dial caliper so i could machine a punch to get those dents out they really arent that big so it wouldnt be too difficult but ill just have to find some other way to get them out. You can just see those small markings on the inside.

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Sorry about the multiple threads wasn't sure if someone would look at it if it was an older thread thats why i started a new one. I am going to look at it tonight because the clutch lifter does move up a bit it will move a half inch then stop completely. And i read that you might be able to just turn it 90 degrees and it could just slid right out... ill try everything

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
When i took the cover off of the stator or magneto ( which was oddly a mitsubishi stator ) i looked on the side with the clutch lifter and i was just the casing there was nothing on it i didnt see any screws.

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
I will definitely give it a try tonight... hopefully rotating it will help free it up a bit. Do you think because it has those bearings it would have to be seperated from the inside or should they just pull out. I could only find a diagram for an MK3 and mine is an MK1 but on that diagram it showed a 2 peice push rod... if it does have with will i have to remove the clutch entirely? Or do you think it would come out with the first peice of the push rod. Thanks for the help

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Well i just gave it a go and i pulled the clutch pushrod out and iwent over to the clutch lifter and it still doesnt really want to come out... i cant really get a good angle on it to pry it out so for now it is stuck... anyone have any ideas on where i can go from here to try and get that thing out

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
i really do mean the clutch becasue part of the bottom end casing got dented and i believe the dents a pushing on some sort of shaft... my clutch is very very stiff and it doesnt want to spring back unless i get off the bike and force it to with my hands... i have another thread explaining the dents and how i believe i can fix them, its just i need to pull that round thing (its like a joint connected to the clutch cable) out of the bottom end so i can try work the dents out. Its a little hard to explain what i mean by all of this

DT 125 LC clutch problem 2015
Well i am back, couldnt work on the bike due to school and work but i just got around to looking at it today.. and i am not exactly sure how to pull the clutch joint off i cant really explain it very well so i took a picture off it and was wondering if any of you guys could help me... i tried just pulling it off but it only moved a bit then stopped and wouldnt move at all. anyone have any ideas on what to do, its the round thing in the picture.

DT 125 LC clutch problem
I guess it could act like a sleeve, i might be able to find someone with a Tig welder that i could weld this thing up if it cracks. damn, if i get a punch with a nicly rounded tip i could try punch them out if i heated the metal, then put the sleeve in to make sure its properly sealed. this will definetely be an interesting job. thanks for the help
