new bike dilemma! D:
Damn you sensible people! When are bikers sensible?! We ride the roads with flammable liquid between our legs! I think I'll pay off the bike on Friday, then put it on the market. Because, if I think about it, when it sells, that means I can then afford the deposit again... (: I'll just need to suffer a short spell without a bike - unless I steal the housemate's I don't plan to stick with the same insurance, but I *think* might also have enough after to get insurance in a lump sum, rather than monthly payments. That seems to be a best of both worlds

new bike dilemma! D:
No plans for a bigger bike after the XJ yet, I just want to get it off finance in a quick and affordable time frame. I'm not one for going faster and faster, so I could see me keeping it for a number of years - barring accidents or me sucking at maintenance (: [Hell, I kept my last car - a 1.4l - for almost 10 years, until repair costs became more expensive than the car. And I got a bike (: ] I also miss friends up in Glasgow, and want to take a bike run up soon - and not on the YBR [that run's currently not happening due to poor weather] And, paying it off now would mean I'd not be able to afford a deposit [unless I used a credit card] for a new bike for another month. Even though I do see the wisdom in waiting :/

new bike dilemma! D:
Oh, I plan to get finance for the XJ6. Couldn't afford it otherwise. But I plan to have it at a relatively short term plan [16-18 months max], which would be straining my finances if I don't sell the YBR fast. Short term, I could afford both. But to sell the YBR, I'd need to clear off the finance, which I wouldn't be able to do at the same time. I mean, I could pay off the finance with this month's coming wage if needed - and sell it quickly - but I also don't want to be without a bike for any length of time (: To be fair, I probably shouldn't have bought the YBR - got it a month before I sat my test, as I was just getting stupidly antsy for riding [and had planned to get a lot more road experience in]. I've loved my rides with it, but it's time to 'grow up' (: [i could also SORN the YBR while I find a buyer for it, I guess, which would save me a little.]

new bike dilemma! D:
Been itching badly to replace the YBR for a while now, and I've located a couple of XJ6s [through dealerships]... But dilemmas! This weekend is looking to be a bit dreich down [up?] here and I still need to finish off the finance on the YBR. I can't even justify part exchanging it - if they'll even allow it, due to different finance companies - because dealerships offer effective pennies for it ): [i asked elsewhere, and they only offered £1k for a '12 YBR 125, when I could sell it privately for £1600. Although, HPI may prevent that] I could get both, but I'd then have 2 bikes, and less ability to pay off my YBR faster! How do I cope?!

Looks like others, elsewhere have had similar issues: https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/feedback/details/811642/internet-explorer-11-does-not-work-properly-on-some-message-boards-running-ip-board-software

Lack of specific features working sounds like javascript issues, based on the browser. Which browser are you using? I'd open up the JS console, and try the action again - see if an error appears. To get the console: IE - F12, console tab Chrome & Firefox: Ctrl+shift+J

Video 2! Still in need of a titlecard
The sniffing comes from a nasal polyp [TMI? (: ], so one nostril loves to run ¬_¬ I have a buff, that I normally just cover up to my chin, so I covered my nose this morning. Unfortunately, didn't help much. Until I watched my videos, I'd never realised just how much I check my mirrors. I'll need to try and tone it down a bit, but it's so unconscious, it may take a bit

Video 2! Still in need of a titlecard
Don't worry, the sniffing annoys me too - really should see a doc about it :/ It's worse because it's cold at the moment.

It's like something out of a sci-fi movie...

Video 2! Still in need of a titlecard
I'm originally from Fife, but I did briefly live near Crieff. The 'poshness' is because, when I grew up, I'd get shouted at from my parents if I ever used slang ["Once you can talk properly, then you can use slang!"], so it kind of stuck for the most part. Still swear like a bastard, though [which irritates the hell out of them]

Video 2! Still in need of a titlecard
Think I'm going to annoy you lot with my videos as I create them Be warned: I swear a bit [should I do anything different to what I put into the videos, in terms of content?]

Hi, fellow bikers :)
Welcome! YBRs are a solid first choice in bike. Good mileage, cheap enough insurance, nimble, and reliable. Definitely good to cut your teeth on, both riding and maintenance.

Listen to my annoying voice! Watch my crappy riding!
Those weird things that Edinburger got not too long ago. And they're a pain! Bloomin' trains that also steal the road, and you can't easily overtake.

Thinking about taking DAS
Get your theory test done and dusted - best to have that out the way. As for the mods? There's honestly no hurry, I'd say. If you're bikeless for now - and don't plan to get a bigger bike any time very soon, hold off until you've got all the cash you need, with a little extra to be safe. But, could easily go to a local instruction place, see what your options are. It also depends how much you rode before the pillock incident.

Listen to my annoying voice! Watch my crappy riding!
I'm a Mon-Fri worker, btu I may have my weekend free coming up [can't quite remember...] And excellent, was wondering where there would be a nearby good garage - gonna put the YBR in for a service before I sell it on.

WD40 Motorcycle Total Wash
Being a cheap Scotsman, and also in the planning stages of selling my ickle YBR, I decided that I wasn't going to shell out a crap load for washing my bike, (: So, nipped over to Halfords, and got myself some WD40 Total Wash. It's a spray bottle, and piss easy to use. Coated the bike, waited a few minutes, sponged a few areas that were particularly grotty, then dumped a bucket of water over the bike. It's sparkly clean now. Now, just to apply a touch more ACF in certain areas that are beginning to show a touch of corrosion... [unrelated to cleaning] Cheap Bastard seal of approval!

Listen to my annoying voice! Watch my crappy riding!
especially when I'd been bitching about them in the morning (: But na, couldn't watch someone take a tumble and leave them to it, like all the other cars did. I think his pride was wounded more than anything (: I vaguely recall you saying that back when I joined - I'll still need to get for a wee ride out with you at some point soon.

Hello Yammy Lovers

Bent or Straight leg when swinging it over the bike? [straw poll]
Granted, it is only on a small set of bikes she's demonstrated this on - a YBR, a CBF125 and an MT-07... and she's a flexible bugger, which probably helps - but I have witnessed the straight leg swing. I also recently spotted a youtube video of a female rider who did the straight leg thing [on a ninja]
