theory test
I was always told you never fail a driving test, you just postpone a pass. Good luck on nailing it first time.

theory test
Did you ever find out or do you just scream by 40 to get to 50 now because you know that stopping distance?

theory test
Its recently changed to all CGI - much better. In the app I discovered I was pressing marginally before they expected sometimes and then not getting any points. I then always double tapped. Seemed to work out ok.

theory test
I used the theory pro iPhone app and it was very very good. 1 question wrong on multiple choice and 5, 4 and a few 3s on hazard perception. A very good resource for me.

Do the mock tests and above all else relax - you have so much time in there to do it. Remember you can go back over everything at the end too. Make sure you know the motorbike related questions. Good luck

Cupping on front tyre - what to do?
I am enjoying the bike - loving it. I was just curious. I will see how I feel once getting back from holiday and if it's bugging me I'll change them for pilots

Cupping on front tyre - what to do?
As some will know I recently bought an XJ6 (loving it). I have noticed a few times, especially going around roundabouts the the front wheel seems to slip just a fraction then bites again. It's a little disconcerting! Tyre pressure is as per manual. I checked tyre and I can feel a flat spot in one area of front wheel just off centre. I did some research and it seems to be called cupping. Cause could be previous owners riding habits / my riding habits / alignment. I'm pretty sure it's not alignment. Any advice on how to best handle this? Should I replace the tyres? (They have loads of tread left - look almost new actually). Is there any option to re grade the surface? Do I just live with it? I'm a pretty new rider for those that don't know and just looking for an experienced finger to point a general direction. Thanks.

Big bike time!
Put your disc lock as close as you can behind the forks - less chance of you doing damage if the wheel can only move forward a few cms rather than almost a full rotation. Also get a reminder cable.

Any cover recommendations
I went with a stormex in medium. It's a bit on the baggy side but looks like a good cover so far

Waiting for a new bike!
Fife. I was all over, Stirling, Edinburgh, all the back roads up by Knockhill - I wish I knew good roads - at the minute I am just wandering for the sakes of it.

Mt07 or hornet?
I really liked the mt07 - I just thought it would bring out my inner hooligan more than the xj6. I cannot fault the xj6 so far - loving it. I think the abs comes on too early (tested it on quiet roads) but a great introduction to a bigger bike. Very noob friendly I would say.

Cancelling insurance!
Well what do you know - they accepted the email declaration that there were no printed copies in existence. I already changed insurers - had no choice as previous lot wouldn't insure me!

Waiting for a new bike!
https://app.box.com/s/fmwtrperz7yysgpwc69ejf4ca48ee404 Few hundred miles over the weekend. Very pleased with it and I really like the extra presence (with led's) the handle bar protectors give.

Waiting for a new bike!
Spent the last few hours just riding around. I'm very impressed with the XJ6. Very refined and a pleasure to ride I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Cancelling insurance!
Even one page doesn't make sense. They do realise they emailed it to me! If I was going to use it fraudulently I could easily print off another! Still the money's on me printing and sending it in. You cannot beat policies and procedures (especially when that stupid nonsense is law).

Which bike next?

But where are the pics of the seat?

Cancelling insurance!
Just when I thought I was in the clear. CN ask me to send them the insurance certificate back as I cancelled it!!! That will be the 19 page off that they emailed then. I'm not printing a copy of that to stick in the post when I haven't printed it out in the first place. I sent them an email saying printed copies have been destroyed. Now I wait for the red tape to strangle me.
