I think I'm going to be the sort that cant sit still!!! Went for an STR. I hope I can still hang around here? I'd love to get a little project bike to work on once I can get somewhere to work on it.

Trying to get my eldest listening to Deep Purple. Managed the following so far: ACDC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, G&R, Pink Floyd - still a work in progress.

Squires 2015
Ok so tell the noob some more. I've read the entire thread from beginning to end and still have questions: 1). Is this a day trip (Friday). In other words sort out own stay over somewhere, or is it a camp on Friday night? 2) looking at what has been proposed I think over the bridge then blast down a68 / a1 for 5 or so hours sounds like fun if I can get some time off. Tell me more please!

YBR125 tyres for free (almost)
I no longer have my YBR but still have a set or OEM tyres with about 1000 miles on them - basically new. If any regular member here would like them they can have them for postage. If you are reasonably close to central belt of Scotland - I could be easily persuaded to drop them off. I can post pics if that would help?

Just add acetone to a Lego block and let it dissolve then use the slurry as a glue to join the abs together. I also used scrap and on the back to add strength. The solvent glue I've used is tangit all pressure glue for pvc and abs. From what I've seen the acetone and Lego gives the same sort of look, feel and application as the solvent glue I am currently using. As soon as that runs out I'll be trying the Lego. Acetone works well on its own as a glue also. I always clean using a pvc and abs cleaner first. I'll look out some YouTube vids later.

He's either celebrating or figuring out when he can sit it again.

I have had pretty good results with abs fairing repairs using plumbers solvent cleaner and solvent weld. I'd like to try the Lego in acetone at some point as well but not had the chance yet. Used the solvent method to repair and even build up for missing parts on bike fairings, car parts, coffee machine parts and game controllers. I wouldn't be without the stuff now. That and some homemade sugru to protect the ends of the bungees so I can't scratch the bike.

New biker, new (to me) bike
Good stuff. YBR is a great little machine. Good luck with DAS - you will not regret scratching your bike itch.
