XJ6 Diversion Coolant
The search goes on !! Local Yamaha dealer went with my Yamalube Coolant Idea (which is orange) which was fine but has raised the question as to whether the coolant change is really necessary. The colour of the coolant currently in the bike is blue and according to the supplying dealer who is multi franchised tells me it would have been Silkolene Pro cool. Although the manual suggests changing after 3 years, do you guys consider a change is necessary, bike done 6000 mls from new. I guess if I change it I will use Silkolene Pro cool.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, but I reckon Yamalube Coolant should be the stuff, will talk to Yamaha.

XJ6 Diversion Coolant
The book just states "1:1 Mixture Ratio", " High-quality ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion inhibitors for aluminium engines". I wish it would recommend a brand. What do you guys use ?

Hi, About to change coolant in my XJ6 Diversion 2010, I have found some Motorcycle Coolant on the well known auction site sold by Demon Tweaks and made by Castrol but before purchase I would like to know what others recommend/use. Many Thanks

New XJ6 Scottoiler
Appreciate keeping the delivery pipe lower than the reservoir, not got round to fitting yet, but located two off vacuum pipes that appear to be the pipes pilninggas described, both hang out on the left together and have blanked off ends. ?? Thanks for the info !

Tyre pressure gauge
I want to buy a accurate tyre pressure gauge, ideally one that has a 90 degree head to enable easy access to valve especially on the front of my twin disc machine. I have bought several over the years but would like a quality accurate good one, any suggestions ??? Cheers

XJ6s Info Please
Hi, I have purchased 5 new rear disc bolts for my XJ6s and I would like to know the tightening torque also whether I should use threadlock on them ? Another less important thing I would like an opinion on is the round gear shift rubber which I have also purchased, it is genuine Yamaha and I notice one end of the hole is chamfered and the other is square, which way round should it be fitted on the metal lever ? Hopefully someone has the answers ! Lincol

New XJ6 Scottoiler
Hello, Hoping for a bit of help with my new to me XJ6s Diversion, regards where is the preferred place to site the oil reservoir and the preferred place to plumb the vacuum pickup into. I have fitted quite a few, but never on a fuel injected bike. Thank you for all comments and suggestions in anticipation. Lincol

Hello
Hi, Just joined, looks like the place to come for any Yam related. Just bought a 2nd hand xj6s 2010, which is a bit of a jump down from my previous bike, but hopefully more usable on a daily basis. Look forward to contributing where I can. Lincol
