Xj900f 1988 vin number location
Am I correct in saying engine and frame numbers match! Because I did a vin check against my reg and used the engine number and it came back correct! Basically my problem is iv only got the new keeper slip as the previous owner sent the v5 away and I noticed when I was looking over it I couldn't find a vin plate/number it's was bought as a little project no mot or tax fix it up and use it for work! It had a lot of wiring problems and ran abit ruff but fixed them in a few evenings and now its ready for a mot! Sent the prev owner a txt to ask if he had sent the docs away he replied not yet! And don't really want to wait up to 6 weeks before I can mot it and start useing it! I recon it must of been moted in its current state as the powder coating isn't new maybe a few years old!

Aye! You sound like you speak my language blackhat250 ha ha! Wonder if you could email me that manual that would be a great help! How do you up load pictures on here? http://i.imgur.com/XB0yqUJl.jpg Black and white wire from the engine I take it you guys are speaking about! I have four wires black/white witch I take is the kill! Yellow witch I think is for lighting Green/white possibly the pulse wire? And light green witch I'm sure is for the neutral light The kill switch has been done away with no wires at all going to it? I also can't believe how many wires go to to the ignition switch on these things

Barn find dt 250 1978 restoration
Hi guys looking for some a little help I recently bought a barn find dt 250 mono shock 1978! Its Been lying in a barn since 1997 Its white and seems complete and untouched Its frames a little rusty but plan on a total strip down! I wouldn't mind seeing if I could get it to start But at the moment it won't even spark The points look in good condition considering So does everything else behind the cover I had a poke about with a tester and the wire to the coil seem permanently earthed until I unplugged everything in the headlight! I didn't think this was normal I manage to pick up wiring diagram off google images it isn't very clear and there is different coloured wires than mine coming from the engine! Possible the diagram was for a early dt250 Is the a simple way of seeing if it will spark? Cheers guys Pete
