hi only just purchased my xj6 (abs) and as im waiting on getting my mod 2 sorted I haven't been out on it yet. my query is that on the frame by the forks is a sticker that says "power reduced by Yamaha 25kw!! ..now when I looked up the spec on my bike it says it should be 55.8kw...does this mean its been restricted?? before I get intouch with the guy ive purchased it off(he didn't say anything about it being restricted) I thought id post the question here to see what the crack is? thanks

just wondering if its advised or not to clean a motorbike with a power washer? I ask because I know its not advisable to power wash a mountain bike because it strips all the lubricants off the bike etc.. (something ive learn the hard way) is it the same with motorbikes?? will a soft sponge and soapy water suffice?

tbh you'll be stretching it abit even at 400 for a shed big enough for 3 bikes, bearing in mind you'll want to spend a few quid on decent security. if you want quality and the size you want you'll be looking more at the 800-1000 pound mark. its always worth checking ebay for 2nd hand sheds(there are some good quality ones out there),if your lucky you'll find a decent local one at the fraction of the cost of a brand new one

depends on how much you want to spent,id suggest a bespoke built shed, ive bought a standard shed but 'uprated' the security on mine...bespoke door fitted with 2 5 lever deadlocks and 2 chunky padlocks. so 4 defence mechanisms to get through....oh plus my staffy to get past as well

just purchased my first bike(well for over 20 years anyway)..an 2012 xj6 n in white. problem is it came with hand protectors on and I had to remove one to get the bike in my shed(ended up dismantling the shed and purchasing a bigger one) any way ive tried re fitting the hand guard back on and the long threaded bar that secures it is just turning in the handle bar im assuming theres a back nut of sorts that is now in my handle bar somewhere that needs to be retrieved?? there is a part that is wedged in the end of the handle bar though, ive give it a light pull but is not moving,i didn't want to force it too much incase its not supposed to come out... any help or advice please
