Calling XJ6 owners :))
Hi Shaun, well to be honest mate I gave it a fair crack of the whip but it just weren't happening,I resorted to changing to some renthal flat bars in the end, they ate slightly longer than the standard but shorter than the braced. Tbf I really like the look of the bars and finished them off with some bar end mirrors. Gives it a subtle street fighter look. Really just left with getting some aftermarket foot pegs and the bike is more or less complete ,will get some pix up ASAP as soon as I suss out how to upload in here lol

Awesome,my bars I'm trying to fit are approx 740mm they are renthal streetfighters.(is that about the size of yours?) Almost lost hope that these could not be fitted so chuffed to bits it can be done.

Cheers, that sounds like a hell of a lot of work to me though,I'm surprised there isn't 50mm extra play either side though, not a lot is it. Got a feeling I'll be scrapping this idea

Calling XJ6 owners :))
I own an XJ6 and just bought myself some renthal streetfighter handle bars, they are approx 100mm longer than standard bars si when I fitted then the cables were pulling too tight, has anybody fitted longer bars and got over the problem I have? I know I've seen somewhere an XJ6 with these type of bars on so I'm guessing it can be done. Also if someone's reading this could some one give me the measurement from top of yoke to centre of handles bars as I'm thinking that the risers I have on may not be the originals and hindering the fitting of the new bars ... Thanks muchly )))

Sc projects exhaust
cheers for the reply... think my post got moved so only just found it yes this is what I assumed, actually I recently spoke to a guy who had the same exhaust/problem and he actually fiited his the opposite way to mine, ive emailed sc projects but they're English isn't the best and they cant give me a definite answer either, they suggested I send pix. strange thing is the pipes are having a tendancy to pull to the left and have touched and melted the belly pan(didn't notice when fitted originally) but weirdly enough the guy who fitted his the opposite way has experienced the pipes pulling in exact same direction!! he ended up cutting small part of the belly pan to accommodate this.. ....nightmare eh lol

Sc projects exhaust
Hi. Any of you guys fitted an sc projects exhaust to an xj6? I've bought a second hand one and trying to work out correct fitting. Basically the header pipes are numbered 1/4 and I'm trying to work out if it's left to right as if your looking from the front or rear of the bike towards the exhaust. Guy I purshased it of can't help and I've been in touch with sc projects but the language barrier is tricky to get my question across. I've fitted it left to right as if your looking at header pipes from rear of bike but it's niggling me whether this us right it not?! Any clues guys? )

aftermarket exhaust!!
evening guys im after some info and pointers on fitting an aftermarket exhaust(currently looking at a termignoni)thais particular brand comes in 3 decibels the higher the decibel the cheaper the exhaust it seems..ranging from 80db to 102db. my finances dictates getting the cheaper louder one so what are the implications of a 102 db exhaust, will it be stupidly loud getting me unwanted blue light attention? is 102db road legal or will I need to fit the standard one when ever its due for mot? also taking out the db killer..good or bad idea? thanks guys )

spraying my belly pan
I've carbon fibre vinyl wrapped a couple of panels on the bike already dewpy and to be fair they've come out quite good, cost me about 5 quid for a 300mm x 1.5m size roll. I've done a few little touches here and there to the bike now, just got my rear hugger from Simpson detour to fit and it's almost finished. I'll get pix up when it's had a good clean

spraying my belly pan
Well I've come up with the idea of vinyl wrapping it,if I get 6 months out of it all i Have to do is remove and wrap it again + the wrap cost pennies )

spraying my belly pan
cheers guys.. I've had a chat with the sprayer who says he's done belly pans etc before but im wondering how long the paint job is gonna last coz I think in reality id rather have no paint job rather than a chipped to buggery one. although I think it'll set the bike off lovely...hmmm!!!

spraying my belly pan
hi guys got myself an xj6n im somewhat tarting up and looking to get the headlight cowling and belly pan(the standard factory fit black one) colour matched. my concern is the belly pan and whether the paint job will last.. its a pearl white paint so gonna cost me £100 to get done so don't want to spent that much money if if its just gonna get pitted and destroyed by debris after 6 months ,anybody had a belly pan sprayed before? did it stand up to the rigours of the elements?? ....cheers

What Colour Do You Like?
Gold..the bike needs some contrast

Productive couple of days on my xj6n
Is that an led rear light on it(the one with integrated indicators?) Was looking at one of those and but the original on as well which aren't led's. Do you know if that's an issue with the indicators flash rate??
