Good afternoon all, wondering if anyone can help.....I'm trying to source a pair of Fork Gaiters for my DT175MX 1980, they are shot. I'm finding it very difficult. Has anyone got any suggestions on where to purchase these or any alterative solutions. Thanks in advance Gary

Morning all, here's a couple of up to date photso of my progress. Coming along nicely I think.
  5. Evening all, My name is Gary and I joined the forum back at the back end of 2013, when I managed to get hold of the first bike that I rode... a DT175MX. I have just started with my restoration in the last couple of days. I've not long finished restoring a 1969 Series 2a Land Rover hence the delay in starting the DT. I look forward to communicating with fellow members. I'm located in Perthshire, Scotland. Thanks for letting me join. Gary

Evening all, Another DT175..........1980 I've just stripped down the whole bike and now it's time to get started with the restoration I'm looking recommendations for good companies to carry out the following work. Re-chrome and refurbish wheels, Forks are pitted, needing reconditioned. The best way to polish the bottoms of the alloy forks? Is it better painting or power coating the wheel centres? What's the best after market silencer? I was think of putting a bigger tyre on the back (4.00 18?) original chunky tread or a supermoto style And lastly best place for decals. Thanks for your help.
