where to start to tackle this one!
I go out on the bike regardless of weather, however I do not use it for work, and if it is raining I would prefer to use the car because I don't want to get soaked and not enjoy a ride but I will not weather stop me if I want a ride out.

Has anyone ever used spoke skins?
Used them on my old drz400, worked ace for covering up tatty spokes, made a massive difference to IMO even though they did take ages to fit!! Go for it!! Shaun

where to start to tackle this one!
hey everyone, Have not been online for a while been busy at work & trying to get the bike clean in areas that have been left to build up a mass amount of grease... anyway after spending what seems like an eternity wiping excess grease/chain lube from around the chain runner/front sprocket/all areas near there with a tooth brush (not my current morning use brush) & some gunk, I took a step back admired what was now looking clean & with it being a warm sunday got it out for a quick blast. got back and had another look at the front of the engine just behind the exhaust & OH MY DAYS! looks like it has got all 11,000 miles of dirt...grit & crap off the road stuck to the engine now I have got a picture & I am sorry for the shocking images (not safe for child views.. this is filth...) ready... you sure? okay you asked... anyway I'm unsure how to start to tackle this one, should I stick at it with a toothbrush & gunk or should I get something else on to it? I am getting abit ocd with cleaning this bike, after my first proper ride out (about 130 miles) to whitchurch and back through b roads I love the power & how it feels to just let it flow around bends, trying to get it as spotless as possible, which to some may seem pointless but as its something I enjoy & have for a fun purpose opposed to a work purpose I don't mind spending the time, any advice on how to remove this grime would be great. sorry for the essay, but its tuesday night..that is my reason :L happy riding! Shaun

Questions about the GoPro
Hey, I have had a go pro hero3 black ed since Xmas. It does come with the adhesive mounts in the box which work amazingly! But if it is not something you are interested in, you can get hold of a bar mount or even a strap which mounts the go pro in the middle of your chest &'then is work like a rucksack Hope this helps in some way Shaun

anyone shed some light on this issue (throttle sticking)
Hey everybody, had abit of a nightmare today if I'm being honest & I'm hoping this is a really simple question before I go and break something or someone.... anyway here goes... hope everyone is sitting comfortably. Decided to try my hand at fitting my own bars today (renthal braced bars) on my xj6n, left hand side went on great! all be to the grip moves but that just needs some grip glue and jobs a good one, right hand side was going well until the point of i've drilled holes for the little plastic lug to sit in & then notice that the bars had dropped a little. The control did not line up well... so I shouted a little & then re-drilled RESULT! new bars are on all thats left is to put the bar ends on oh yeah and test that everything is all fine & dandy. by this point I'm all happy that it looks better (IMO) to realise that when I turn the bars to the right the throttle is just jamming open (which I can't see working to well on the road) looked at the one thing that has screwed me over today for about 10 - 20 minutes & I cannot see anyway to actually help it, the noe thing I did try was moving the throttle tube & controls closer the the centre which did seem to work however there is a huge gap from grip to bar end (6-7cm worth). I did not grease up the bar underneath the throttle tube however it turns freely when the bar is straight so I would assume no issue?? can anyone shed any light or help in any way shape or form? Shaun

Security lighting advice
Hey everyone, sorry to mods if this is in the wrong section, I am after some advice regarding security lights, there have been a few thefts of bikes around my area & I want to make sure that mine has a deterant if nothing else, I have it on paddoc stands with chains around the wheels & stands, and locks everywhere possible, but I feel a light would also set my mind at ease. Has anyone fitted any that they would recommend.? Thanks for any help Shaun

UK Vehicle tax changes fyi
Also think it may force dealers offer less on a part ex just because they "could" pressure you saying will struggle to sell with no tax, seems like a loose loose situation
