Thanks for getting back to me. Dad had the forks apart yesterday and there was very little oil in them, now they've been topped up they do release a little but not all the way.

Hi, just joined YOC. I've recently bought a XJ900 trike , yes a trike. I gave up riding a bike a few years ago due to illness but I missed riding it so much that I had to get another, but this time with stabilisers!! The old girl is 25 years old and needs a little bit of TLC and a fresh coat of paint, which my trusty old bike fiend of a Dad is going to do! I'm hoping that by next Spring Dad and I will be going off on Sunday morning ride-outs again!! One of the immediate problems is with the forks & I've posted a topic on the workshop section is anyone can help that would be great. Bye for now!!

Hello, I recently bought a 1988 XJ900 F Trike as a mini project for me & my dad!! We've a problem with the forks in that when you push the handle bars down & then release the forks don't come back up. We've been told it might be the springs. Has anybody got any ideas?
