  1. Looks like I can't take it this year anyway...tests only go until Oct 15. I won't be eligible to take the test until Nov 15, because I only got my M1 in September.
  2. It seems the waits are a lot shorter at the DMV here in the middle of nowhere though... you rarely even need to wait in line. I was just worried there'd be snow and ice on the ground by the time I get to the test date at this rate...figured I'd just pay another $15 come spring time and write the test again.
  3. Thanks for the offer Phil! And you're right...the cost to drive the Ram up there would be ridiculous... I get about 12mpg in that beast. My brother in laws both have a compressor I can use, just gotta go pick it up. It's good to have your own though. That's the plan, fix her up when I can't ride her, I just couldn't have purple stripes on it anymore, those had to go. Winter time the engine will be coming apart for some gasket changes, and while I'm in there I'll probably take the carbs apart and give them a proper cleaning as well, I just took the filter out and sprayed some sea-foam in there but that's not going to clean everything. Haven't booked my test yet, but I have to wait what, 60 days from the time I got my M1 to do my M2? but before 90 days, is that correct?
  4. Oh that'd be fun! Don't know if I'm ready to bring it to the track yet though, I'm still a newbie....and by the time I got there after work tonight it'd be dark and I'm not supposed to ride at night. Weekend is packed solid too...damn!
  5. I put an updated picture in my gallery here in case you want to check it out Noise! dt (what's your name anyway? or should I call you dt?) - I'm not happy with how smooth the body work turned out... figured lineX would cover some of that up. I do have a dual action sander but I need an air compressor...could rent one, and I've got a paint gun...could give it a proper paint job, this was just a spray can job.
  6. Thanks! I uploaded them to my server at feliks.ca, guess your company blocks it! ...and we call them "signals" here. I don't think 1 pair is bright enough for the daytime though, I'd put at least 2 or 3 per signal. An arrow shape would work great I think! I'm either going to do that, or replace them with some other lights I have here...if they'll work.
  7. So I've decided I'm going to go with a smooth LineX finish on the fairings and gas tank, but in the meantime, I got rid of all the purple. Yay!
  8. I can see the advantage in starting on a smaller bike. I did that by accident....because when I got mine it was running on 3 cylinders and I didnt' even know it. So while learning... I couldn't go fast and it actually helped. Now that I'm confident enoughon two wheels, I can give it some more throttle comfortably and without killing myself. It actually worked out good!
  9. MMm but I bet the exhaust smells like BBQ! Delicious!
  10. Thanks for having me anyway, so far this seems like a great place to chill!
  11. If I was a girl more people would have said hi to me..... lol *edit If I was a *good looking* girl more people would have said hi to me..... :D
  12. I think I may add two more to each side, to make an arrow shape, then there will be 3 for each signal, should be plenty bright enough then! I've go some more I can steal off my Ram...
  13. That was the whole point of the joke. I didn't post it to say "help me get my bike to go faster!" .... I understand my bike's limits, I'm a newbie but I'm not stupid. Just entertaining the folks....lol Maybe some folks anyway.
  14. Hmm may have to add another pair... it's as bright as the brake light, but could be brighter....
  15. Oh I went there...lol Why so serious?
  16. lolol Who even knows how fast they can go anyway? It's not like we can try that out in Canada anywhere on the road.................
  17. I was thinking that too, I originally had some LED running lights I was going to use but they weren't going to be bright enough, so I used these 3w amber "eagle eye" LEDs instead. Mounted them as high up as I could to separate them from the brake light as much as I could. I'll take some daytime shots or maybe a video, see how good they actually show up outdoors.
  18. All put back together... Next up is to finish painting the fairings! Just waiting for my paycheque to get in so I can go buy some paint...
  19. Good to hear they didn't f&*) you!

    Signing in ? ?

I can think of better things to do with a pussy (cat)....
  21. My bike only goes 210km/h! Lol. Which is pretty fast I think! Just makes me laugh seeing threads with people who have a 125cc and don't understand why it doesn't go over 100km/h...... lol
  22. So you try to block an SUV with a motorcycle, and then you're upset the SUV runs you over.... Dumb.
  23. Everyone likes a sexy rear end! I just couldn't stand looking at those alien eyes sticking out of the side...haha Yeah man any time! Well weather permitting...and I'm not "allowed" to ride at night yet....still on my M1. Here's some finished shots of the new signals, license plate holder and light.
  24. Spent some time last night on her rear end.... Removed the ugly alien eye looking signals, and the whole back/bottom contraption that held the license plate, signals, and reflectors, and then added some 3W LEDs in their place, it looks so much better to me. Will post some shots up once I get the wiring cleaned up.
