Your bike... no. You? Maybe.... Just take it easy, don't push your limit too much.
  4. Yeah, they never give me the finger or try and hit me when I'm in my 4x4 Ram.... go figure.

This is a duplicate post - I also posted in my build thread but I wanted to put it up here too and report as time goes on if this stuff actually works or not. Did the "Engine Restore" treatment to the bike today. She goes through about half a quart of oil every 200kms...which is pretty excessive, and I don't really want to tear the engine apart to do rings or anything but if I have to I will....but I figured I'd give this stuff a shot first. I followed the instructions for wet-clutch 4 stroke motorcycles, which I have...and that was: Pull all 4spark plugs Used a turkey baster to insert about a teaspoon of "Engine Restore" into the spark plug holes Put the bike in 6th gear and rolled it forward for about 50m (just pulled the clutch in and rolled back, let the clutch out and slowly pushed the bike forward) - this is to coat the cylinder walls with the restore stuff Put spark plugs back in Pull bike outside Put it in neutral and start it up! Let it idle for a few minutes and then take it for a ride, there was quite a bit of smoke, which I expected, and that subsided after about 5 minutes of riding Right away I can feel an improvement in throttle response and idle smoothness. Time will tell if this stuff works. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

lol yup! It's not like the windscreen I have now is useless...just has an ugly looking crack that I fixed...but it's still ugly, and I want it to look pretty. Should be here this week anyway. Said between nov4-11 estimated delivery. As for buying stuff from ebay...the buyer is always right. So if you have a problem, you will pretty much always get your money back (minus shipping fees), as long as you return the item (just put tracking on it). All the times I've had problems, maybe 10 out of 500+ transactions...I've worked out deals with the sellers. Most often they either just refund and don't even ask for the item back, or they'll give you a discount on future orders. I only had one stupid seller that wouldn't give my money back for a toque I ordered a few years ago that never came...but it was only $10, I ended up filing a paypal claim and got my 10 bucks back.

I've ordered over 500 things from ebay.... I'm not new to the scene lol... sometimes things come in a couple weeks from China, sometimes it takes a month..... I just had to bitch about it a little bit lol.

    Still waiting for my windscreen.
  10. lol at the comments After this happened I slowed down a bit in front of him and looked back and just waved my arm in the air like "What lol??" and he started flailing his arms in the car like a madman... I was just like... ok! Crazy old maniac.... then I proceeded to get away from him as fast as possible so he didn't run me over.
  11. Thought this was pretty funny....full out finger for passing him safely. lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WaKhII1Vv0

OH! And I found out permatex makes gasket remover....going to pick up a can of that to use where I got the gasket maker on the frame.

Oh, and yes I did install the cutoff valve from CT as well, doesn't hurt to have another level for when the bike sits in winter. This way I can just run the bike to clear out the gas from the carbs and everything else.

They've got the whole kit for my bike here: http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/yamaz/FZ6001985-88.htm For the Windscreen... I found it on eBay. I got the FZR400 one which according to my research should fit the FZ600 of the same year. We will see! Sure beats spending the $90 for it as long as it fits! I took some time today to clean up the wiring under the gauges, wrapped it in some black wire loom and zip tied everything up nicely. Going to go do a bit of detailing on it while it's raining today...

Fixed the fuelcock gasket today... no more fuel running while the bike is off! The new gasket was about twice the thickness of the old one.

Ordered a new windscreen...$35 from China! Then found the same one for $25...shipped. oh well... I can live with a $35 replacement considering the only ones I found listed for the fz600 were $90 originally! I still need to give the fairings a proper paintjob, that'll happen over winter, then she'll be good for springtime, either to ride or sell and upgrade!

ttask I'm not trying to argue... I'm not sure.... but when I hit the front brake mid-turn, the wheel wobbled and the bike stood up straight, and stopped turning... when I let off the brake I was able to turn again, so ...I don't know!
