Need the electric tech guys (yamaha YBR 125) Please
Well the cables that sparked was when he put a cable into a small red cable into the connector and the other end off the cable into a cable that was blue and white. Then it sparked from the red cable. So no fuses are under the seat then ? Also I have a little white relay type box next to the indicator relay, can't work out what that is ?

Their must be more fuses somewhere ? And the natural light isn't coming on at all and when the engine is running and in natural and I put the sidestand down it now kills the engine

Do you know if their are any other fuses on the ybr at all ?, so far I have only found 1 on the starter its self, and cannot see it else where. Also would the side stand switch not work say if the bulb was blow ?

Need the electric tech guys (yamaha YBR 125) Please
Hi guys I have previously posted about my bike not starting from the electric switch ( check previous forum for more details ) however I changed the starter and had nothing, tested with multimeter and I had no volt spike. However yesterday me and my uncle had a look, and we put a wire and jumped over the starter and it ticked over fine so that leave switch I believe ? However he continued to test all the cable and it looked fine by what I could gather from facial expressions , however he was then trying to a jump over all the cable, and one of them sparked and when I looked the natural light had gone off and the bike would cut out when side stand was down and in natural. So now the natural switch has gone ?. How is this fixed or checked? Also anyone know where to get a copy of the manual like the haynes one? And does anyone know if their are any other fuses like under the seat or something ? As I only have one on the starter ? Thanks guys jack

YBR electric starter switch problem
Yeah that sounds about right, I have the 2 thick cable black and red that go from the battery into the starter. Then just under the fuse is the connection ports where it has all the other cables, in the connection box however I have 4 ports, however only have 3 cables going into but have done some research and I only need them 3 don't need the last one. YBR electric starter switch problem
On the newer models of the ybr they don't have a kill switch, not sure why but its not their I do have the side stand switch but that's fine, tbh don't think it can be that because it kicks over fine. Anyway I placed the multimeter on it today, voltage is good and the battery is holding and is not week, however when running to see the volts off the battery the electric start didn't pulse at all, so I am now thinking loose connection or faulty starter switch as the voltage would drop. It was sitting at 12.08 volts off and pressing the electric done nothing to that digit, it should at least drop to about 11.30 ?

YBR electric starter switch problem
To the starter relay I have 2 ports for the positive and negative to the battery, then the space for the 15amp fuse, which then has another connection for cables like a plug type, believe one is blue, other blue/white strips, and other being brown. I do have a multimeter at work and that's my job tomorrow when on lunch. I don't think it will be the motor though as the relay would indicate some form of clicking or hesitation won't it ? Bike doesn't have a kill switch either so can't do that, however I did take the starter switch apart and cleaned up in their

Alrighty I have just replaced the starter relay/solenoid and I hasn't fixed the problem, however can this rule it out as past the relay I.E. The starter motor and is infact in the switch or cable ? Thanks

YBR electric starter switch problem
I took it to my local yamaha dealer and they basically didn't want to advise anything and wanted it to be booked in for their inspection just so they made the money. Currently I do not own the haynes manual or a form of service manual, that's one of my spends. I'm thinking of replacing the relay aswell just don't want to buy it if it could not fix the problem

YBR electric starter switch problem
Hiya, wonder if anyone can help, I have just got a 2009 YBR 125, however the electric start button is not working, when the key is on, all the lights works and it does its ignition check, but when I push the starter it does nothing at all, I receive no noise from anywhere on the bike. When the key is on the on position I am able to kick start it and it starts first time with no problems. Just want the electric start to work. Thanks for the help in advance Jack

hello people
Just came on to have some help but this forum does seem really good and likes to help, which is good, didn't understand how it worked however I have some problems with my ybr 125, where the starter buttons doesn't do anything, no noise or anything, but all electrics work and kick start works fine. I'm 18 in 9 days, and have had a Chinese import previously where I ended up doing a lot of work on it, so I am fairly mechanical minded, but I may with this bike take it to a dealer just wanna see what I can do for myself. I live in medway so if anyone was able to help I would be willing. If you need any other information I will tell. Thanks everyone, Jack

yamaha YBR 125 starting
I have just bought a YBR 125, 2009 model, and its a lovely bike. However their is one problem I am having, its to do with the electric start, when I turn the key to on all lights work and everything is fine apart from when I hit the electric starter switch nothing happens. It does work of the kick start all the time first time. So is their something that can be done to try and get the electric switch to work again ? When I push the button nothing happens at all no noise from anywhere, its as if I haven't pressed it. Thanks Jack
