Xvs125 dragstar
I Have had my Dragstar 125 for a couple of weeks now and love it, it feels like a proper bike under you rather than a bicycle with an engine, as said, it is not fast but 55-60 is usual, no one believes it is a 125 as it looks so much bigger. I have owned many bikes, most of them a lot bigger but this one is still a joy to own. Go for it

XVS 125 exhaust
Thanks mate, I thought that might be the answer, waiting for a bigger bike may be the thing to do.

XVS 125 exhaust
Although I am loving my baby dragstar the exhaust sounds weedy, any suggestions on making it sound a bit better without ruining the lovely smooth running engine and also not costing the earth as I am planning on doing my test soon I may want to upgrade to a 650. I have heard of someone drilling 8mm holes into ( I assume) the rear of the exhausts, does this do any good and will it upset the running or performance. Any advice welcome, Cheers, Gary

XV 125 Start problem...please help
Hi Kelum, If I where you I would stop spending loads of money trying different bits in the hope it will cure your problem and use the cash to take the bike to a mechanic and let them sort it out, chances are it is something a mechanic will find very quickly. Good luck.

screen and footboards?
Hi All, When I picked my XVS 125 up it came with a genuine Yamaha screen and some footboards, as I will not be using these I thought I would sell them on, does anyone know if they will only fit a 125 or will they fit anything else? also what would be a fair price? they are in excellent condition and come with all the fittings. Cheers, Gary

hi all
it stands for many things, maybe best not to repeat them though, In my day we all feared the Volvo driver. In fairness though, the tossers have seemed to have given up driving BMWs and now drive Audis, as someone who drives over 1000 miles a week I see all sorts of idiots but Audi drivers are now top of the list.

XVS 125 advice?
Hi All, I am picking up my XVS125 today, sale and price has been agreed over the phone but subject to the bike being as described, 8000 miles, 52 plate in excellent condition, last serviced 1800 miles ago. Is there anything I should look out for when inspecting it? how often do they need servicing, is it due yet and if so what needs doing. Thanks in advance, Gary

hi all
Hi Guys, cheers for the welcome, Mike, the reason I use that name is that I had a BMW 328 about 4 years ago and used it then for the BMW club, since then I use it for everything so I can remember it, when you get to my age the memory needs as little confusion as possible.

hi all
Hi blackhat and thanks for the welcome. I bought a Vespa 50 about a month ago to go on the back of a motorhome, had a ride around on it and then realised just how much I have missed 2 wheels. Cant wait to pick up the dragstar so I can get over 30mph
