I don`t know about the 650 but for 950, you lose the warranty if you use full synthetic oil. also all mechanics tell me the same thing, no full synthetic for my bike... something about the wet clutch slipage. bla bla, damage on the clutch. I have no idea if is true, I just think is good to share this.

I have no idea how, but I can tell you for sure you will have the ugliest xvs950a ever... and a lot uncomfortable. also you will get lot of shit on the battery, fuses, etc.

AFC50 is an anticorosion... spray thing... or you can search on google for all year riders, they do the treatment with 65 pounds. you can also search for silicone spray grease. this is good for electric stuffs.. wires, connectors, bla bla.. keep the water away from your electric instalation

first step should be an ACF50 treatment, no mater in what condition you ride or keep it. 6000 miles the service or if you don`t make those miles in one year, every year. I strongly recommend silver spark plugs, for my bike has make a big difference and if you can, try to stay with yamalube oils and genuine oil filter. I don`t know what pip mean.

lidl and aldi still have underwear things. I use them in Romania last year with full bike gear at 36-40 degrees with success. is macking a huge difference during the summer. also make your ride very confortable. the price is something like 24 pounds for both. also are good during the winter, is keeping your body temp at 25 degree. if you like something better, you can search on motorcycle accessories shops. at getgeared in leeds, I found some nice underwear some for summer some for winter, but the price is 45-60 pounds for piece.

..and steve, if the bike is new or you want keep the service history, you need the stamp, doing yourself the service you can`t get this stamp on the service book.

lot of money dirty, remember me about first service on my bike, 265 pounds. last service ( I change the mechanic after first service because I think 265 pounds is robbery) 120 pounds, oil, genuine oil filter, ordinary spark plugs, all included in the price the service was complete not just change the oil and sparkplugs. change brake fluid, the cables lubricate, etc. when I provide my stuffs (spark plugs, oil filter, oil) if i`m not wrong I pay 60 pounds. don`t remember exactly but something like that. and freak, i`m f happy... nobody cares if the service is made by jordan bikes or dixon of pudsey lol. the stamp even if is diferent, have the same effect on service book and personally I think mr dixon is doing better his job than "the race boys" from jordan bikes. you should search for another mechanic.

no, is not xvs950 is xvs 1300, just 1300 is water cooled, 950 and 1900 are air cooled

why I should need to look like a christmas tree? more weight is not good for so small head like mine I can`t see the safety thing in all this sh*t i`m not going to ride all my life in caves where is no light at all and i`m sure there is not so many drivers that drive with no lights during the night, where is no road lights. if they fail to see my bike lights, my helmet, pants and jacker reflective stuffs, for sure they will fail to see my leds around my head.
