  1. happy birthday! glad to hear i`m not the only one with this problem )
  2. the reason for this damage can be the wrong adjustment of the rear wheel. you will find in the owner manual how tough the belt must be. if not, if i`m not wrong, on the frame in the rear wheel area, is a sticker with tyre preasure, belt adjustment, etc. for a correct adjustment I think must be somewhere at the line no 4. some mechanics have the temptation to leave the belt a bit free, like they adjust a chain but this is wrong. maybe when you change the rear tyre you or who do this, fail to correctly adjust the rear wheel. I had this slipping problem when I change first time the tyres but after a correct adjustment, everything was ok. that wrong adjustment make the teeth blow up every time you force the acceleration. be careful at belt adjustment or you will have to change again the belt and is f expensive. I don`t say this is the reason in your case but this is one of the reason for belt damage.
  3. anyway, what make you think the belt is damaged? the old belt?
  4. well, the things are easy: you need power, you go for 1300, you need handling, go for 950 there is not big diference, if you are a good rider, you can start with 1300, another thing, 950 is air cooled, 1300 is water cooled. if you are not all day long on germany autobahn to need more speed, in my opinion 950 is a good choice. if you want go for a big bike, you can skip the 1300 and go directly for 1900. from my knowleadge, on this forum just Clarke had both 950 and 1300
  5. my belt look good at 30.000. everything is ok and I put my mechanic to take a look at the belt and sprocket at every 6000 miles service. anyway, how is this "they suspect" if something is damaged here they should see. also, if i`n not wrong and my memory is still good, they don`t say in the manual nothing about replacing at 25.000 miles, they say to check the belt.
  6. I will be happy to help you, I can come next saturday or in 2 weeks, 2 or 9 may, how you wish, just PM me when and where and I will be here. my english is crap but that will be ok I think, you need the bike not to make conversation with me )

    crap horn

I have mounted those dual tone horns you find on ebay around 10-11 pounds, no relay need, you just need find a way to connect both horns. I don`t find on the internet or car part shops already builded so I build at home a split. is working perfect, no engine running needed... that is for 12v battery.
  14. not really, chemical proof, we can play footbal with my tomtom if you wish and after this I will use it to speak at my phone and get directions, waterproof, wild routes etc. . you can read you display in the sun, not like a car GPS. we don`t speak about the same tomtom.
  15. ...at least you don`t ride your bicycle with the motorcycle helmet and full gear 9 miles from home to CBT training place like me )... in august.
  16. cynic, cheaper to replace the car tom tom, not the tom tom raider, a tom tom for cars is under 100 pounds, my last tom tom raider cost me 400 pounds, and before this the raider pro cost me 350 pounds. anyway, tom tom have some offers and I buy mine with life update. so if anyone have in mind to buy a raider, look for those offers. the same thing for garmin motorcycle version, also a great gps for motorcycles.
  17. when a tomtom battery is working good, you have something like 5 hours battery but you can install on your bike an USB port and charge your tomtom in the time you ride if you need.

    Saddle sore

to be fair, with the original seat, I can`t do 200 miles without heavy pain on my back. but this mustang seat with backrest are awesome. maybe you should look for a mustang seat for your bike meatloaf.

    Saddle sore

I do 500 miles saturday, no damage at all, you get old )))
  22. I think you can keep them anyway, if 4 is to much for you, you can keep 2, during the night is helping in my opinion because you will not be seen by the other road users like a car somewhere miles away, they will understand this is a bike. about draining your battery, well, if you forget your light on, your battery will be flat sooner than if you have just one, but will be still flat in any case ) if those light are not directly connected on the battery, your battery will be fine during the night with ignition off. also any electric thing you fit on the bike, connect it at ignition not directly on the battery (12v chargers, usb chargers, gps power cable, etc)
